CBL Premium Shave Soap - Anouncments

I see the pineapple has two cooling agents. Still safe for those sensitive to menthol?

There is no reason to believe the WS12 would cause a reaction any differently than the WS23 although I have no real way of knowing either way. When you used the WS23 you barely felt a thing and certainly didn’t have the type of reaction you get with menthol. The new cooling agent comes on a little faster and stronger then stays active for about 20 minutes. The cooling effect is quite pleasant in nature, definitely not the kind that makes you cry.

If in doubt I have a Pineapple Cilantro very ready to go, just need print labels and put in the tubs.

These new scents all sound great. There is a serious danger that once I have 3017ed my current soap stash that it will be replaced with just CBL (well, and Tabac...).

That would be lovely BUT there are other artisans offering some pretty good stuff.
Funny thing about Tabac is I used it as a model and benchmark for the soap I am making now. I won't go into detail but it was while looking at the box my refill Tabac came in that I had the epiphany that led to what I make today.

Question for you Chris. What other Ghost scents do you have planned or are thinking about. I'm not big on food scents, aside from Lime/citrus. I want to get some of the new cooling recipe soaps, but I'm not sure if I can go for Pineapple, and definitely can't do banana. Love the Ghost DB, and would like cooling in scents other than food scents. Know what I mean?

What you make is Sooooooo much better than Tabac!

The Pineapple is pretty good, its obviously pineapple but it seems less like a food item. I will probably do a small amount of Banana so it's out there for those who want it but I don't have any hard plans for another ghost yet. I like the idea of doing unexpected ghost scents, the dragons blood was a very good idea. To me it seems a ghost soap fits best with sharp or intense scents. I would have thought it would be best to stick with singular note scents but the DB works and it's a fairly complex scent. As things settle in I may start doing some of my existing scents in ghost, maybe TSC and Russian Tea first.

As far as how my soap compares to Tabac... I think the choice to use oils and butters that result in softer soap play a big role.

It is cool that you were inspired, at least partially, by Tabac.

Also, you are right I would have to keep some GTB on hand as well. But, honestly, that doesn't sound like a horrible thing to me. CBL, GTB, and Tabac. ... Well, now that I think about it I would also have to keep PAA around. I love their Kokum Butter soap base and am looking forward to trying the new CK-6 base.

I have read most of this thread and this soap is definitely one I will be trying soon. I am a citrus oholic so I will probably get one of the more citrus forward scents. CBLindsay it appears from reading this that you running your business the right way.
Happy shaves

Okay...I accept that you like GTB...but now you are just being ridiculous!
