2019 Shave # 114 ( 167 Consecutive Shaves )
Razor: Rockwell 6s Plate 5
Blade: Sputnik (3)
Brush: Yaqi Sagrada Familia Tuxedo
Soap: CBL Orange Dirt
Aftershave 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla
Aftershave 2: Terre D'Hermes
Fragrance: Terre D'Hermes

So yesterdays shave with the ABC and Roller did leave me feeling a little over exfoliated and so there was only one set I had in mind. This has jumped to the front of the line as my favorite line up to use. While I love nearly every scent @CBLindsay has come up with, this one just clicks for me. Having the perfect Aftershave and Fragrance to compliment it without having to think and choose helps too. As soon as I started to lather my skin started feeling better and I was lost in the scent. The 6s gave a mindless, efficient and irritation free shave. The lather soak while I was cleaning gear was rejuvenating. Adding the Terre D'Hermes aftershave after final rinse I realize I forgot to apply the Humphrey's. Will rectify and reapply the Splash and then EDT before heading out for a long work day. Meanwhile enjoying another cup of Joe while the news plays on the TV and I check the forums out. Have a GREAT day Cadre !!!

Now that is a great shave! I love your term "over exfoliation!" It made me laugh. But a shave where you were over exfoliated and the go for plate 5...!!! Wow! Have a great day Dave!

Thanks Don, 5 is my daily on the 6s and I don't vary really. As @Spider would say, the other plates are a waste. Felt funny even paying extra to have them coated when I did the razor but wanted the set complete. Wasn't much extra anyway. (y)

I've been avoiding the Humphery's in the pass box. I'm curious to see what you guys love about it, but don't want to get stuck wanting something I can't order.

This doesn't compute. At least you know if you even want it. You may feel about it like a banana ...........and you'll never get the 6s from me unless my widow offers it to you to help her liquidate the shave den 😛

Please may I have her email please? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

2019 Shave # 115 ( 168 Consecutive Shaves )
Razor: Blackland Vector
Blade: Schick Proline P-30 (?)
Brush: TSC Anniversary Brush/Timberwolf KNot
Soap: DG Blackberry Blossom Bay
Aftershave 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla
Aftershave 2: Anthony's Bay Rum

So wanting to support the Theme Shaves but not being a huge Bay Rum fan (I enjoy it but not enough to have multiple soaps in the scent) I was thinking I had a sample that needed to be used that fit. DG/CL Blackberry Blossom Bay. While lathering I didn't get much Blackberry but more of a very light floral. Maybe the scent comes from the blossom rather than the berry. It was a pleasant scent for sure, just not what I expected. I'm not a huge floral fan but did enjoy this and would buy it if it was available. I researched and found it was a limited release for a shave forum in 2017 and not being produced anymore. Scent notes are as follows:
I thoroughly enjoyed the DG performance. Lather was awesome and good face feel. I need to get an Icarus base soap from them when I find a scent I really want. What was left which was substantial will go into the next Tier 1 tub of Clown Puke I am adding to. I am so over the top loving the shaves with the Vector. I know it may not be a perfect fit for everyone but it is "THE ONE" that I was looking for in the Artist Club SE category and glad I came across it after running thru and testing a bunch. Irritation free Dolphin smooth skin with ease. Used some @LNHC post shave Elixir not because I needed it but want to keep treating the skin with nourishment. Topped off with Anthony's Barbershop Bay Rum and ready for some coffee and forum reading before work. Have a swell day Cadre !!

Excellent shave today Dave! And thanks for the thoughts on the Blackberry Blossom Bay! I know it's not something you got excited about...but I think it is something I might really like. If CL and DG make this soap or scent again. I will likely be first in line!

Honestly, that was the best outcome. Love the base but not the scent of a soap you can’t get any more. So you don’t have to go on a chase for the soap. You have a swell day too.

Thanks Don and Dave. Nice scent just not an I gotta have it one. @dangerousdon hope the wife gets to feeling better soon

Geez that is a lot going on in the soap. The Cinnamon makes me nervous as it usually is an irritant for me.
