Caught up Dave! Great to see that the Vector replacement plate came in and the customer service was so good!

2019 Shave # 113 ( 166 Consecutive Shaves )
Razor: Gillette ABC razor w/Roller Guard Base Plate
Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (1)
Brush: Stirling 2 Band Badger
Soap: A&E L'Orange Verte
Aftershave 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla
Aftershave 2: A&E L'Orange Verte

Today was about trying the Roller Guard base plate with my ABC Razor. Generally the Single Ring and ABC razors are overly aggressive to me and my face feels raw when I shave with them although they're VERY efficient. I have to give care/attention to the shave also when using them. I have to say with just 1 shave this Roller Thingy may have saved the razors from sitting on the shelf and put them back into rotation of use. Still an efficient shave for sure but now more carefree during the shave. Afterwards I feel exfoliation has been done but not overly so. It's not only just a cool piece of history to own now, it's a winner to use and reflect on what shaves were like back in the 20's. Felt comfortable enough t take the extra lather I had to get the back of the neck shaved and trimmed up around the hairline..........yes, I still have a hairline in the back :ROFLMAO: I'm comfortable, smell good after topping off with the A&E matching Splash and am ready for Services this morning. Have a Great Day Cadre !!

That Roller Thingy looks scary, cool but scary. But if it's good enough for back of the neck, nice paired (y)

All caught up Dave, good stuff! I’ve seen a ton of love for the Vector lately so decided to do a bit of research. After seeing the price tag, I now know why I don’t have one [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Nice first use of the roller guard! Good to hear it’s not gimmicky lol. No TdH followup?
Went with the Endymion before heading out the door.

Thanks Steve, I caught mine on the sale at least

Interesting on another forum there is a comparison of these with Patent Pending on the bottom with one that has a Patent Date on it. These have the pin recessed on the sides and are a touch thicker compared to the other with pins protruding and touch thinner. Perhaps these were earlier models ??
