2019 Shave # 28

Razor: Rockwell 6s Plate 5
Blade: Sputnik (1)

Brush: Sorrentino Hybrid/Cashmere

Soap: Shannon's Soaps Lakeshore Drive
Aftershave 1: Thayers Cucumber

Aftershave 2: Avon Tai Winds

1st shave with the Sputnik and Lakeshore Drive. The blade I had half my face shaved on the 1st pass before I remembered it was a Sputnik and not my usual GSB or Pol Silver. Felt natural and the same as my regulars so I will have to see how this one is going forward (Thanks Jim) Lakeshore is a subtle citrus/orange but very subdued and grounded by something else woody maybe. I'd have to look up the scent notes but that's what I got and thought to myself I like orange but man I have a bunch of them now. Good that it isn't a strong orange for variety. The brush is nice and not shedding now after repair giving me my 2nd cashmere knot. I will be hit and miss this week if on at all as I will be in Knoxville TN for a week of training to care for our Congregation. Classes during the day and study at night. A course we get about every 5 years. Looking forward to getting past the talk I have and getting to enjoying the instruction from others for me to benefit from. Have a great day and week Cadre !

Nice solid shave today Dave. And in response to everyone picking up the creepiness vibe on me the other day...

Very nice shave, Dave. Tai Winds is one of the Avon aftershaves I’ve been keeping my eye out for. Island Lime tops that particular list.

Thanks guys, checked in at home for the week. This is the selection in this den for the week. Get home Friday night and get to be 1 of 3 judges at our annual Congregation Chili cookoff on Saturday. 3rd year of the cookoff and 3rd year I get to be a judge with the perk that by the time the judging is done I'm usually full and while everyone is getting dinner, I'm getting dessert ???

Nice set-ups for the week Dave...and Judge for a Chili Cook-off is something to be taken seriously! I'm partial to a caveman chili...meat and no beans. I'll allow some onions and peppers...but it better include bacon!

Oh man, how I miss Good chili. Found out about 2 years ago I was allergic to Cumin and have not been able to have any chili, Mexican or Indian food since.

Chilli is awesome! Especially with lots of meat & beans. Made my 1st homemade batch a few years back and accidently doubled the meat and didnt add enough water. It was the best Chilli ever and have not been able to replicate it hahaha.

They have a Chilli cook off once a year (cant remember if it was Elks, Moose, VFW, or some kind of place) think tickets were like $3 for all you can eat Chilli. They give you poker chips to vote with. Someone made a Green Chicken Chilli that was incredible.
