Bourbon Country Shave Journal - Dave in KY

Of course, he bought it before his “S” starts, so now he can’t use it as his exception. That’ll be one less allowable purchase to break up the “S” and that much harder to stay the course!

Enabled then, I don't choose my words as carefully because I have you as an editor

\nI would post a pic but it was purchased like all the LE Beehives were. Sight unseen and no picture. I was hoping for a Beehive in Honey Noir color but am really honored to get 1 of the 65 Limited Edition ones that were made. It was 1 that was held back as a Barely Seconds. It took a little time to wear Ken down and work it out but it should be shipping Monday. Pics as soon as I get my grubby hands on it.\n\nKJ has 1 of the LE\'s if he wants to post pictures of his

Thanks for the reminder though. Just went and ordered from west coast shaving since A&E site was out. Was going to get their post shave serum too as I've heard good things about it.

I use the serum from A&E a lot! I don't like balms as they feel too heavy on my face and believe it or not make me sweat! The serum is the best of both the balm and the splash! I really like them.

Watching your video now.

Nice shave Dave! Looking forward to pics of that Paladin when it arrives.

I should be joining you tonight with the Rockwell. Looks like it arrived at my parents’ house yesterday (ordered with my Dad’s Amazon account and forgot to change the address) and I’ll be swinging by to grab it today.

Nah, I’ll save the glory for you Brother! I’m curious what number you’ll get. And glad you got an LE! A little more special than just a regular beehive honey Noir. Definitely well deserved!

Thanks Don, Steve, Chris and KJ

Razor: Schick Hydromatic
Blade: Schick (2)

Brush: Razorock BC Plissoft

Soap: Henri et Victoria Cognac and Cuban Cigars

Aftershave 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla
Aftershave 2: Henri et Victoria Cognac and Cuban Cigars/Stetson

Was thinking what soap I wanted to use right before starting the 3017 of GTB tomorrow. Was a tough decision as I looked at all the soaps to choose from including some I haven't even used for the first time yet. This is exactly why I wanted to join the "S" thing. Time to enjoy what's here and GREAT products instead of chasing every new thing that comes along. Decided to go for a second use of the Cognac and Cuban Cigars from Henri et Victoria. I got awesome lather and the scent is very enjoyable. Strong enough without being overpowering. Unfortunately by the 3rd pass as before I got a SLIGHT tingling. Not bad but with all the choices I have, it makes no sense to keep soaps that give any level of not agreeing with my skin. Instead of using the aftershave I opted to go with Stetson to follow up and nice smooth shave with the Injecta. I will wait on Glenn who pif'd the soap/splash to me to give me some direction of what he may want me to do with it. Trade or Pif on my own unless he had someone else he wanted to have a try with it. Have a great day Cadre !!
