Bourbon Country Shave Journal - Dave in KY

That's okay buddy. You'll learn there's not reason to look at other SEs with a RX in the stable. But you cheat on her too much and she'll get upset and bite ya!
I like the Rx but I'm not quite as enamored with it as you and TJ. Doesn't bite me or scare me but I don't get as close a shave as my Timeless OC. I bet the Vector is a better fit for me but haven't wanted to blind buy it to see......yet......

Nice first shave and you can’t go wrong with leather and gun powder! And another Friday off ... woohoo!

Late to the party but glad the first outing was acceptable! Git them little work doggies along and get on to a good weekend partner!

Nice first outing with The General Dave! I haven't tried an SE yet, but I see this one mentioned often. That Cigar Shop Cowboy sounds awesome too. I plan on picking up some CBL after the holidays. I’ve been having a hard time making a decision on scents, CSC might be a front runner though.

Razor: Colonial Aluminum General w/Brass Handle
Blade: Feather Pro Guard (2)

Brush: Rubberset 400 Maggards Synthetic

Soap: A&E Revolution

Aftershave 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
Aftershave 2: A&E Revolution

Took the General for another spin today with a solid brass handle for some extra weight. Pic of th 2 razors swapping parts. They look sharp. Got a better shave but still don't care for the lightness of the razor so off to our BST it goes. Vintage Rubberset whipped a nice slick and protective lather from he A&E Revolution soap and I REALLY dig this scent. Need some more from A&E that are in my wheelhouse. Lazy day today piddling around the house. Have a great day Cadre !!

I saw the BST post...lord help me, but I saw it! ?

Like Chad though, and you, I think I want to try and find a heavier equivalent if at all possible. Not sure yet.

Sorry it had to go but I complelty understand why. I had the same issue with the Muhle Rocca. I like my razor to have some weight behind it. It is a efficient razor that is intuitive and gives a great shave. But just to light and found myself giving more pressure than required.

Good of luck selling it.

Thanks Jim. Not worried but would like to convert it into an SV 70th soap/splash set if sold before the 1st of the year when the "S" thing starts

Well....see here's whatcha do. First, yer gunna join that there membership deal at A&E so yer gittin' yerself a discount on dem soaps. Den, you're gunna load up yer cart with some Grecian Horse, and some Spartacus. And then git you some Warrior oh Howling Fjord to really put some hair on your chest. Then, you're going to take a flier and randomly pick another one at random. Now, you're going to do all this toot sweet bein' because the clock is ticking.

Actually the Orange is on the short list. Almost pulled the trigger on it. Not doing the membership thingy as I won't need it for 6 months ???

If there is someone on this site who does not have an SE. They should definitely take Dave up on his BST it is an excellent price for one of the best SEs out there.

You are killing me Dave. If you would have posted that razor on BST in a couple of weeks, I would have jumped on it! Now I have to actually make a decision!

Lordy lord! I finally got up to date here! Two days of readin’. This place is like a northern annex of Dave’s place. And it’s Dave’s place!
