Bourbon Country Shave Journal - Dave in KY

Nice shave Dave! I really like the brush handle. Very classy look. I’m also starting to get yet another case of RAD with all this injector talk! Thanks for that....lol

Who me? You’ll love this then.....

Not all, but most of my injectors.

I don't know the first thing about injectors, so I have to do some research before I start shopping. But based strictly on looks, I like the examples in the 2 top left compartments in your pic. Very nice!

The ones with the tapered handles in the bottom left are Ladies razors. You were probably looking at the yellow handled one, though, and that one is a men’s razor. It’s called the Easy Rider. It was a promotional razor for the movie, I believe.

Razor: 1964 Gillette Slim Adjustable
Blade: Pol Silver SI (2)

Brush: Custom Sorrentino Cadre Member Brush w/ Cashmere Knot

Soap: Turtleship Bay Rum

Aftershave 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
Aftershave 2: Anthony's Barbershop Bay Rum

Afternoon shave before Services tonight, then back to morning shave tomorrow. This is another soap that Glenn, Southsider Pif'd me. I've never had the opt. to try Turtleship. The scent is light but pleasant and the cashmere knot whipped up a great lather. I don't bloom and the damp brush wasn't grabbing enough so I added a small amount of water to the tub while loading and walla, problem solved. Nice 3 pass shave with the Birth year slim since I didn't use it yesterday and it needed to get out for a run. Since the soap was Bay Rum we went full bore with the Maravilla 70 which has a Bay Rum scent and topped it off with Anthony's Bay Rum Splash. Nice smooth and soothing shave. hope the Cadre is having a great day !! My Aluminum General was supposed to be here today but somehow left Philly and went to Lancaster PA. Hopefully it will be rerouted properly soon. Got a little something on order before the "S" thing starts in 2 weeks. Maybe 1 or 2 more items if any besides my exceptions.
