Razor: Vikings Blade Chieftain

Blade: Voskhod (1)

Brush: Sorrentino Hybrid 1/4 Moon Synthetic

Soap: CBL Soap Orange Dirt

Aftershave 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla

Aftershave 2: Avon Tai Winds

Have Bill in Oneida's Viking Chieftain razor to try (Thanks Bill). After getting a slick lather of smelly goodness from the CBL Orange Dirt whipped up with a gorgeous Sorrentino brush, I went to work with the Chieftain and a new Voskhod blade. The first few strokes I kept trying to find the angle as it felt like I was shaving with the smooth guard and doing nothing. I was getting some cut and could get a little feel at times when adding pressure. That's the thing with this razor. It trains you to use pressure. It appears to be a thicker and heavier Super Speed clone. The head is big enough it makes it hard to do above the lip for me as I like. I did get a decently close shave but could probably get a shave in this afternoon again as I know it won't last. Maybe it will surprise me or maybe I'll get an evening shave in. Time will tell...........This is a razor for KJ who loves no blade feel and using pressure ?. Topped everything off with Avon Tai Winds so good thing I'm home for the day as this is there copy of Hai Karate if you remember their commercials ?

Have a GREAT day Cadre !!!!!

Dave...after poring on the Tai Winds (Hai Karate), your house is not safe at all! Barricade yourself in. Let your wife know what you did...she may be your only defense from the onslaught of bodacious babes that are now tracking your sent from Key West to Vancouver Island!

I hope you have a wonderful and relaxing day watching football...and lay off the muffins...you are making the rest of us jealous!

Thanks Don, Apparently there is less football today then I thought but I'll attempt to watch what little is on.

Sounds like you could form some very bad habits by using that Chieftain repeatedly.

Yeah, everything I learned to avoid. I guess for some it's an option though to start.

The Baili/Weishi clones are definitely a bit chunky. They are decent shavers though with some practice and once you find that angle of course!

Happy Thanksgiving Dave!

Well, there is the Egg Bowl (Ms State and Ole Miss) tonight. But there are three NFL games on today. Man that sounds weird. I'm used to the Lions and the Cowboys playing...but evidently The Saints and Falcons are playing each other today also!

Razor: Rockwell 6s Plate 5

Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (2)

Brush: Paladin 26 mm Butterscotch Moe

Soap: Storybook Soapworks Hook

Aftershave 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla

Aftershave 2: Storybook Soapworks Hook

Another 3 am shave (I throw that in because I now Chad loves it) Laid out Storybook Soapworks Hook last night which is my favorite scent from them. This is from their site describing it. "Hook is built upon an accord of Cedarwood, French oak, gunpowder, leather, and sandalwood. Notes of ocean spray, crocodile tears, rum, and just a little spark of madness build upon this blend to offer a scent that is perfect for anyone who has ever wanted to sail the high seas."
I get the gun powder and leather with a lightness that must come from the wood scents playing with it. Nice lather and a very good soap although not an elite. Definitely in the Tier 1 of Chad's scale although I don't know what number I'd give it. The aftershave is a milky color that goes on nice and dries down with no tackiness, just a nice smooth and natural feeling.

Probably make it a short day the way I'm feeling but we'll see how the day progresses. When I get towards the end of the month it is normally and easier time wrapping up my route work but I still have 3 extra house jobs floating around to get squeezed into the schedule somewhere which is unusual this time of the year. Hope all of the Cadre have a great Friday !! Go get those BF deals now.

You working today? If not I really don't understand 3 AM LOL! My wife gets after me because I wake up at 7 on the weekends!

Yep, working but done now for the day. Didn't have it in me to keep going after I got done what had to be. Weekends I am up by 5 or 6.......stupid internal clock set from years of early workdays.

I'm with you. I never use an alarm clock and sleeping in for me would be 30min later than usual. What screws things up is being at work when I'm ready for my 11am nap!

I’m with Chad on the 3am ... yuck! But, I’ve never really been a morning person. I’ve got one of those working from home days off today. I’ve also got to run one of the dogs to the vet. I think she is either eat up with ant bites or has hives.

Should be interesting to see what Dave caves in and buys today! I’ll bet his job this morning as a major department store. They lets him in early, he has a good repoire with the manager who lets him do some quick shopping sans lines, then he hoists himself up the wall to “work”, which is really just sitting back with some beers and his phone laughing at the mad rush when the store officially opens.

I mean...good shave! Brave man being up that early. Do you call jobs off temporarily if the weather is pretty bad/cold?
