Aftershave 2: Avon Leather
Fragrance: Nuit D’Issey Noir Argent

Had a great shave this morning with Mystic Water Leather and Smoke (My Favorite of theirs) I was at my 2nd pass before I realized I switched the harsh feeling Wizamet to the Rockwell and the smooth feeling one to the RFB. So the blade was not the culprit. That means either the blade isn't great in the RFB or the razor wasn't as smooth as I remembered when borrowed John's. Science continues as we narrow down a conclusive answer to this unquestionably curious conundrum that begs and screams for answers......................Well that may have been a little over dramatic but you get the idea. Went with Avon Leather and another sample from @GlazedBoker Nuit D’Issey Noir Argent.

Less Science and more Copy/Paste = Nuit D'issey Noir Argent Cologne by Issey Miyake, Nuit D'issey Noir Argent, inspired by the darkness and mysteriousness of the night, was released in 2018. It is a clean and woody scent with top notes of tangy grapefruit and spicy nutmeg, pink pepper and black pepper. In contrast, the heart notes are rich frankincense, saffron and dark leather. It closes with mellow base notes of patchouli, vetiver, myrrh, dark wood and resin.

My Take = I got the peppery grapefruit initially that settles down in a few minutes to the dark leather but mixed with the other stuff I assume but can't differentiate what they are. Just a nice not over done and well balanced leather perfect to play with the Avon Leather.

I ain't usually this Hoity Toity. That's the other Dave's job but I'm enjoying these sample decants. This one on fragrance dot net is like $37 so not bad.

Thanks Eric........it may or may not be accurate I'm sitting at 12 hours now and if hold my forearm up where I hit it I still smell it. Yummm at sub $40 I saw it I'm a buyer.

That’s one of the great things about frags. 5 people can smell the same thing and give 5 different impressions lol. A different note can stand out above the rest to each of them, and trigger good or bad memories, which will affect every other part of it. That’s some impressive longevity, too.

I remember smelling Savannah Sunrise a few years ago during a sample passaround. It smelled amazing, and I'm still not sure why I didn't pull the trigger on a tub immediately. Probably because there were over 200 samples and I had to prioritize.
