2019 Shave # 75 ( 130 Consecutive Shaves )
Razor: Rockwell 6c Plate 5
Blade: Pol Silver SI (6)
Brush: Cadre Member Cashmere
Soap: CBL Fresh Vetiver
Aftershave 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
Aftershave 2: Brut

So Chris was generous enough to send me a small tub of Fresh Vetiver. I came to a realization with today's shave. I always knew it but I can say it unequivocally. More on that later........ Off the tub this is a light scent and was hard for me to detect. When lathering the scent comes out more. Still subtle but you can smell the freshness of the vetiver. I can't say enough about how my face has felt lately with using the CBL soaps on a daily basis. It leaves me wondering why I have all the soaps in the den when I could pick my top 4-5 soap makers, just keep theirs and be totally satisfied. CBL is at the top of the heap for sure. Could not help but do a lather soak when I was done with the shave and my face feels GREAT. @CBLindsay says he may be making some Ghost Banana for the masses which I've been wanting for sure. Chris, I check your shop from time to time to see what's new but PLEASE pm me when these are in the store so I don't miss buying some before @Cvargo buys it all up !!! Have a GREAT day Cadre !!!!!

Because you have the same problem the rest of us do. We just go through phases of denying it.

I know........... Just went and counted........If I kept my top 4 makers only I would still have close to 40 tubs (Nearly half of these being CBL) of soap leaving 10, I could pick from others for winning scents to keep it below 50 tubs. So, the question...........................Do I purge the other 50+ tubs or keep around ??????????

First its sending razors away while the site was down, then it was wanting to drop some ASBs and now you are thinking about purging 50+ tubs of soap? who are you and where is Dave?

Random thoughts typed and DOING it are 2 completely different things. Razors were purchased and the razor sent went for a North Shore Razor coating and will return prettier ;)(y)

Dave, you are quite convincing.
I promise, I will post ALL new releases here on the Cadre forum before making them available to the public. I live to serve the Cadre and will go out of my way to ensure those who want a CBL soap have very opportunity to get what they want.

...And you bring up something that I was thinking about this morning. I (and I think LNHC) add Allantoin to my soaps. Allantoin is fairly expensive but a little goes a long way. The thing is, allantoin is a great skin conditioner but it is most effective when used regularly. This would mean that those who use a CBL (or LNHC) soap only occasionally may not get the benefits Allantoin can provide when used daily...which made me question whether i should consider offering a soap without Allantoin (kind of an economy formula if you will). I don't see a lot of soap with Allantoin in them BUT several good artisan post shave/aftershave products DO have Allantoin. SOOOO, I guess I am recommending you either use a CBL soap everyday or include the use of an artisan aftershave that has Allantoin in it.

Interesting. I definitely notice a difference and would always opt for a soap with Allantoin if I had a choice. Thanks for the info!
