Pre-shave:Hot Towel 25/50 on Linen/Leather
Post:
Lucky Tiger Aftershave Salve / Cold Towel & Rinse / 30 laps on Trans-Ark / 25 linen /50 leather
Geo. Wostenholm & Sons 5/8 Wedge
Paladin Chief / Sabini Blond Badger
Penhaligon's Bayolea Shave Soap / Aftershave / EdT

Well back to some sort of normality in my shaving and forum routine I hope. Soon as I completed school I got caught with that flu...... TWICE no less, and Sharon and I have been passing it back and forth. Today was the 1st day I felt somewhat normal to shower and shave, so I have about 4-days of growth to mow down. I had not used the Wosty in some time, but it being a wedge, I knew it should not have any issue with the forest of whiskers.

Just to make sure I gave her a few laps on the Coti and Black ark, along with a ton of stropping and HHT5 all the way. All English was the choice of the day and the "ol" muscle memory came back just fine. Bayolea is just a fun scent and with the right patience a good lather can be coaxed from the triple milled suds puck.

3-passes today and a cleanup for DSBBS. Finished off with my standard Lucky Tiger, followed by Bayolea AS/EDT and some vintage Mennen Shave Talc and good to face the day.

Again on behalf of my partners and I we thank you for your membership, patience and support during the transition to the new forum software and we hope you are enjoying it! I will be trying to get caught up on everyone's journals and vlogs as soon as I can

Have a Wonderful Day

Very nice one Dave...great to see the Wosty back in action.

Question: I know things have been busy with the school and life in general for you and Sharon...but outside of the recent ailments I hope that you both have been doing well. Any exciting new additions to the shave den in your time away? I'm about to have my purchasing nards clipped by SWMBO, so I need to hand the enablement torch back to the master.

Thank Your sir
Believe it or not NO, LOL I have not added anything to the Den since June of 2018... That being said however I did purchase the following for my barbering so I guess that counts, LOL
Hunt & hustle Ace of Spade 7' Shears /
Hatori Hanzo Texturizing shears as well as some vintage shears ( dorko, Double duck ETC )
Clippers: Oster Octane carbon fiber cordless & multi Blades
Babyliss Ferrari Carbon Fiber adjustable clippers
Wahl Cordless Senior Clippers and 1919 100th Anniversary Senior Clippers
Andis T-outliner finishing clippers
Wahl retro outliner finishing clipper
and various brushes, combs etc. So I guess I just traded items and the above stuff was a bit more expensive LOL. I will be buying some MWF soon however HAHAHAHAHA

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA....

@paintflinger stole my thunder!! I thought my BST listing was going to be large...'OLY 'ELL, it's 'UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE! Honestly it's a poor time at this moment as I'm taking off on a jet plane in a few days and won't be able to send anything out for a couple of weeks. So, look for that BST listing beginning of April when I get back.

If I don't get to tell you before.......Safe travels and have fun.

I was digging that entire post up until you mentioned the fat. I just could never get that stuff to work, so it was included in the mega PIF. LOL.

Those are some awesome acquisitions, though...my aunt is a hair dresser (part of the reason I was never exposed to barber shops as a kid, I was taken to her salon), and SWMBO likes to collect hair stuff, so I'm familiar with more of those than I feel entirely comfortable with. (SWMBO just tells me to do research and find/buy the best I can find....smdh...so I'm fully aware of how expensive the Babyliss product lines are, as well as the Oster clippers.

Thiers-Issard "la legende" 6/8 Full Hollow
Paladin Neptune Cleo Select Badger
Chiseled Face Groomatorium Santa Paula Shave Soap / Aftershave Splash
Creed Neroli Sauvage Eau de Parfum

I know!!! two entries in a row? The earth must be flipping it's axis again, LOL.... Well not really just finally able to get some routine back in the routine. Although it is cold and rainy, a wee spot of spring was in order today. Santa Paula, probably my favorite scent from CFG ( don't flog me GTB lovers, I still like it ) it has such a beautifully done orange grove inpsired scent that it falls in the top 10 of all my favs.

Normal pre-shave and the TI was ready to play. I had not used her in a bit and she was anxious to either give me glass or tear me apart.... Oh the love and anticipation of straight shaving, LOL.

Thankfully it was the 1st of those two options, with a nice 3-pass DSBBS shave. Finished up the the Santa Paula Aftershave and a liberal number of Vassilis of the Creed Neroli. If there is a heaven and it smells like fresh oranges and blossoms then this is it.. Heavenly, although a bit fleeting for such a costly Edp. That's OK , I will just use more.

Hope it is a great day for you Gentlemen

That's a scent I've been on the fence about for a long while as I have so many orange scents already.......you may have nudged me over the fence though. Nice shave Dave

@HandleBarberDave , Dave I really miss the hole digging stories. Any chance that you can break out the shovel?
ROFL, nope no more holes, now it is ducks, chickens, sitting on the back porch stalking bobcats and zombie attack pidgeons ( that want said ducks and chickens) having no more room for eggs, and cutting hair... a simple life with no hole digging...... Well except for the rather large expensive one ( 5-figures) just dug to replace our septic system.

Life is grand LOL
