BarberDave's Shaveapalooza

All caught up, Dave. Some great set-ups and photos. And BTW, FWIW, in terms of making it back from a combat tour....I don't feel guilty, just lucky.

So do you guys test haircuts on each other? If so I can't wait to see the uneven haircut that someone gives you! PICS DEMANDED!

I have La Toja in my travel kit (though I often eat and use it at home), great soap all around!

Hows is the AS? Pretty similar to the soap?

Great shave today Dave. 105 to 110 degree temps? I won't even say it gets that hot here, but what I do have is 80 to 95% humidity everyday on top of 95 degree heat. We are expected to get into the 100s this weekend. I think we can all agree that it is just plain old hot!

Nice one Dave...that Boker is a pretty fine piece of steel!

Great shave and picture Dave!

Brian Brown Razor Works 5/8
Paladin Neptune / Select Badger
Paladin Natchez Trace Shave Soap
Capt's Choice North Aftershave Splash
Penhaligon's Juniper Sling EdT

Another early morning shave as I head to the shop today. Shelf #3 revealed another Paladin Soap for the day in Natchez Trace. Described as Bay, Pine and Cedar, it is very similar to North, however does not have that burnt forest accord of it. They do partner well together. Not to much to be mentioned in the performance arena from the Paladin Soaps. Elite status, however they do fall a bit on overall fragrance strength, but still a pleasure to shave with.

The BRW reminds me of that old car you have around that, no matter what you cannot kill it, Ol' Reliable. Always perfect, Always performing, and Always a joy. that is what it is like every time I take out this razor. I just works!

3-passes to day and Grail all the way, no clean up needed. A healthy splash of CC North to Juniperize the face, followed by some talc, and MORE Vasilli's than needed of the Pen's Juniper Sling. Proobably the most perfect fragrance for hot weather. Good stuff

Set-up:

Have a Great day Gents, and as per norms, I will get caught up on your journals as I can

Great stuff today Dave. I need to pick up a BBRW blade sooner than later. However, the below statement threw me...

Probably the most perfect fragrance for hot weather. Good stuff

ummm...Blenheim Bouquet? Acqua di Parma Colonia Intensa? Acqua di Gio? LOL...Juniper Sling IS a great hot weather frag, though.

Good read Dave. And hot weather scent not sure I agree with you... but its okay you are used to being wrong.
