A beautiful pre-dawn Shave as we bring the month of March. My Thursday today, as I spend the last day of my 58th year on this rock.

Citrusy and so lemony the Litseas Cubeba is just Lemon Bomb. For those that remember it harkens back to the Lemon Drop Candy, but not so sweet, but plenty strong

The delivery device was the Barzini by Sorrentino and wiped away the the Vector

Finished up with the Litsea Cubeba WH, and aftershave, some talc, and to tone it down a bit more of a lemon cream vibe with Cedrat EdT by L’Occitan

Good start to the day and a wonderful sunrise on the drive to the shop

Have a nice Friday Folks!

Ideally, on a day like today , many drams of cigar malt, and quite a number of cigars would be the order of the day. However, today is a day and I’m not so sure that my client would appreciate cigar smoke everywhere not to mention being completely bomb while shaving someone.

So, that will have to wait till later. I can, though, get to feel the fragrance and all the other good things of scotch cigars, leather chairs in today shave.

Our signature sent perfectly crafted by CBL soaps, DrinksnDaves

A wonderful selection of cigars, cigar chair, leather humidor, and pure nirvana. Used a Doug corn D7 to lather up and a black land Osprey to remove it all finished up with some talc some of the DND aftershave. Then a couple of nice spritzes of Floris Islay. Better known as Scotland in a fragrance

Have a good day everybody

The Shave today and all about Juniper, Pine and Gin!. Since running our of Penhaligon's Juniper Sling the Gents Gin has been doing a good job as stand in. Also the Last shave with the MK*30 as it is my 1300 Subscriber giveaway today on the YT Channel. I have mentioned this before, but for Vintage Razors, I don't think we own them, we are the custodians of history, and now it is time to pass this one on.

Great over all shave DSBBS, and bright and wonderful fragrances abound.

Other Deets:
Last night for the B-Day we were treated to Paella ( Spanish Rice, Chicken, Chorizo, Shrimp, Peas, Onion, Peppers, and Pimento ) ( one of my all-time Favs ), Not a traditional Paella, with Clams, Mussels, etc, but better IMHO, a nice crusty bread to sop up all the goodness, and then........ Well I think I may have set a new record with my Blood Glucose. My monitor conveniently was at its end, and , my pharmacy is getting more in stock next week, so I was blindingly free... Sharon had gotten me a Red Velvet Cake with Cream Cheese frosting, and there was homemade Banana pudding, as well a Chocolate Chip Ice Cream....... Ya well. So delicious, however when I got home decided to have a night cap cigar, and although good, I felt like I was Schnokered, and clear sign that Blood Sugar was off the charts. A good nights sleep and "Diabetic Detox" today and feeling wonderful.

Looking forward to the Zoom call in a few hours and overall a perfect Sunday

Hope yours is too

All vintage shave today for my first day back at the shop and boy is it wonderful I know that KJ and Tony are probably sick and tired of looking at Williams but it is truly a fantastic soap

Wanted to keep everything vintage so the Gillette president got the call up with a persona blade for a missile door style safety razor. This is actually a very aggressive shave, but still wonderful after three passes and DSBBS.

Hope everybody has a wonderful day

Being the matchy matchy type, and after a hugely long search with the help @Luecke3262 , I was finally able to get one of my grail razors, the Darwin.

It is actually a very aggressive razor. I would put it just south of the R 41 or the Fatip, and actually north of the Blackland blackbird titanium and Gillette 15. Being said it is extremely efficient matched with a persona lab blue blade. It provided the perfect porcelain DSBBS shave.

Not to mention, the art deco look of the razor, and this one seem to be an almost NOS condition

This may sound weird, but the Darwin soap and aftershave with its lemongrass, orange peel, sweet, orange, ginger, and patchouli, actually smelled better when using the Darwin razor LOL

A bit of CBL WH, Yardley and of course Floris 1962 provided the perfect match for a parfum

One more razor to go in that should be about it. A super huge. Thanks to Matt for finding this razor for me.

Have a great day folks

This is your best PIF ever....I'm in!!!

I’ve been looking for a Darwin for about 10 years, maybe more. I got to shave with it and completely agree with what you’ve said about its aggressiveness and condition. I think Dave told me he wanted one over 3 years ago. They are that rare! The only two people I know that own one are @Spider and now @BarberDave .

Now I have to find the Hayashi Diamond 8000, but I fear that’s a fools errand. The people who own them won’t give them up and the ones who will, want $500 or so!
