Great shave and pic. The razor is beautiful. Do you remember what model of GD (66 perhaps) it started life as?

Wonderful shave today with THB LC...

I hear you on the "once they have names, they aren't food" bit. SWMBO and her sister have gone to naming the chickens they have over there some...ummm...interesting names. I can't remember specifics off the top of my head, but they all have to do with either breakfast food or sammiches of some sort.

Hmmm, there is an idea...... Spicy Salmon Roll & Nigiri New names I will attempt to ask the Boss, LOL

Excellent shave Dave! One of these days I'm going to splurge on a HB set. That is if I can get my hands on one before they sell out.

My sis-in-law raises ducks also. She is always in constant supply of duck eggs. To answer the question about when they become food...

When some of her male ducks become aggressive with the females...dinner. And let me tell you...they are delicious!

Thanks Don and I know I love Duck as food, There is a dish at the Lake Hotel in Yellowstone, that is to die for, but never had the eggs I hear they are amazing and very rich

Great looking set up and photo, Dave. How's the SOS on that soap?
A whole bunch more that the tester, I would say a solid 3 to 3.5 but the big difference is the initial face fee after lathering, explodes in fragrace and smacks you dead in the face with an ice block, If you are groggy this will wake you up for sure, LOL

Thanks Doug, it was the GD Mod winner at B&B and if I remember correctly it was indeed a 66, I will have to look up what he sent over

Must have been a skilled shaver that missed that GD! Very nice!

Thanks

I pretty sure the rule is, once they have names they are pets, not dinner.
Not entirely true. I named my pigs "dinner" and "bacon". Pigs are tops on my list of animals that are a blast to raise, goats are fun too but I'll never eat goat and since i was raised on goat milk during my formative years i won't be drinking the milk either ...even goat cheese is an Ify thing. BACON however is never a bad thing.

I would have no problem naming my chickens and ducks then eating them BUT I can't do fresh poultry, gotta hit the freezer first. I don't think Dave will be eating his feathered friends.

I've got a new name for your Casa Dave ...Skypsyd Farms!

but I'll never eat goat

Goat is delicious! Take the plunge.

That's actually a smart thing. Freezing freshly slaughtered meat for a period, helps reduce the risk of parasites and bacteria.

If you have goat meat laying around, freeze it and ship it to me. I will eat it. Yum!

I hope Dave does eat his feathered friends. They are tasty animals. Give them a good life and then give them purpose in death.

I like this guy!

I couldn't name my animals after food. I would get hungry any time I call them. On a side note, when my wife was younger, she had 2 Sharpeis. They were named Raisin and Cupcake. They got out one day, so they were wandering around town yelling "Raisin, Cupcake." They got some funny looks from people.

Whiskey! Now that’s a good name for a hog. In fact you could name the newer members of the feathered flock after all the forefathers of whiskey.

and I have no desire to eat goat, plenty of good BEEF to eat.

I had a dish at a Bar BQ place in Buenos Aries month before last that was suckling pig. Sort of the veal of the porcine, which I had never heard of here in the U.S. It was hands down the best piece of pork I have ever eaten. One restaurant we were at in Panama had it on the menu as well, so I tried it. It was very good, but no where near as good as the one I had in Argentina.

That was some awesome reading to catch up on, Dave! Now I know the origins of your new title, haha. I think raising your own fowl is awesome, as I am a huge fan of fresh eggs. We are stuck in a townhouse and don't have the proper zoning for raising them in this area, but if I ever move to a spot with the space it is on my list of goals. SWMBO doesn't do poop cleaning though, so I would be stuck with the litter boxes and the coop!

As for naming animals after food, when we adopted our male cat, who is now named Thatch, we were seriously considering naming him General Tso (think about it...).

Don, their stuff is seriously top notch, just as an all around product. Branding, scents, and great performance. I suggest following them on Instagram, as they often host live video giveaways, and of course you can stay on top of when their new releases are happening. Just be ready to stay up until midnight eastern time, since the new normal is for stuff to sell out in an hour!

Thanks Jim! Hey, as far as zoning goes...what the city doesn't know won't hurt the city. Besides...chickens don't poop...they fertilize! Anyway, I am envious of Dave also...I have wanted to raise chickens and or ducks for a while now...but alas I live in a subdivision myself.

Excellent shave and read, Dave. JLindy did such a beautiful job on that razor.

Thanks Folks Hillarious responses and indeed this file has now been encrypted to save my bacon so to speak, LOL
