Great shave Dave. I'll give you a hint regarding my AI comment. 2018 is the 100th anniversary of this public health event.

Given my background in reproductive biology, AI can also stand for Artificial Insemination. But that is not what I have in mind here.

Great shave and pic. I am really enjoying the ongoing duck-chicken saga. I hope you get some time to relax and hang out on the forum soon.

Yes Dave, the 1918 Spanish Flu has been determined to have been from an Avian Influenza (AI), Influenza A virus. Since you are not free ranging your birds, you really have nothing to worry about. And even if you were, the risk is very low. Since the 1918 pandemic, there have been high pathological AI strains that have transmitted to humans (H5N1 for example), but none of these were able to transmit from human to human. Actually, we don't know why there was such virulence and uncontrollable spread in 1918, which is why we are worried about it happening again.

But enjoy the ducks and the chickens!

You are just full of good news Huh? LOL

Tracking is in your PM. Thanks again, Dave!

Got it thanks

I feel the urge I must ask.. when the chickens reach a certain age, what are Sharon’s views on consumption of said birds?

Good shave today Dave. There is a reason why I plan on having a wood shop when I retire.

That question is how you end up on Sharon's naughty list. The only way to come off of said list is to flood Dave's inbox with Peppermints so she gets a good laugh. Don't ask how I know this LOL.

I pretty sure the rule is, once they have names they are pets, not dinner.

See Dave's response below, LOL

This is indeed the truth, Don knows this as well, LOL

BINGO. Eggs were the primary onus

Although I have already used this offering by the Holy Black, there is something a bit different and wonderful when you have the actual product and not just a sample of it. Which BTW Sharon swooped in on as soon as I opened the package, and stated " You have a new set, so you don't need these". As she sauntered off in Lavender Bliss. Yes she is a Lavender Freak as well. She also informed me that the bottle is hers once the aftershave is gone. OK now since that is settled on to the shave.

I miss our friend Mr. Lindy and have always cherished this razor. It takes and hold a great edge and is just plain funky thanks to the Purple Neon scales, and not to mention the matching Brush that Matt was able to do.

As per all of the HB soaps I have tried, it is really more of a croap, but lathers easily and has a wonderful performance. The Mixing of three different lavenders make this very special, and with HB using a different type of cooling agent, other than menthol, makes for a truly unique shave experience. They use the same, or similar component used in toothpastes for the cooling effect and it is very nice without some of the initial harshness of regular menthol. It literally creeps up on you, as the moniker of the line suggests, "Creeper".

3-passes today for DSBBS, and nice healthy splash of the AS and it is off to Icy Lavender Town. Great Stuff

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

It always amazes me that the pictured razor started out life as a $5.99 razor. Great shave Dave.

Wonderful shave today with THB LC...

I hear you on the "once they have names, they aren't food" bit. SWMBO and her sister have gone to naming the chickens they have over there some...ummm...interesting names. I can't remember specifics off the top of my head, but they all have to do with either breakfast food or sammiches of some sort.

Excellent shave Dave! One of these days I'm going to splurge on a HB set. That is if I can get my hands on one before they sell out.

My sis-in-law raises ducks also. She is always in constant supply of duck eggs. To answer the question about when they become food...

When some of her male ducks become aggressive with the females...dinner. And let me tell you...they are delicious!
