It's more than halfway done. I doubt it'll reach 40 shaves.
Sounds like you're flying through soap at just over a month on this one. Is that typical? I haven't paid attention to how often you finish a soap.
They last 4-6 weeks, to my recollection. I'm set for the next 18 months or so. It'll keep my Black Friday purchases to a minimum.

That's amazing, Toby. I bowl lather; how do you make lather, in a bowl, the tub, or face?
Let's leave what happens in the tub...in the tub. On second thought, nobody seems to have a problem with Wilderness Mike shaving in the shower and describing.....in detail....his mammoth painting. Carry on.
For some reason I am wanting to shave with Stirling Hipster now!
It's a nice scent, and the soap base is quite good.

A bit more than halfway through the soap; a little less than halfway through the splash. It will be close, but the splash will probably outlast the soap.

I lather on top of the puck in a soap container/crock that my wife bought for me. And I work it up some more on my face. I prefer hard pucks but the somewhat soft stuff like Arko or Proraso works too.

I just did something I've wanted to do for three weeks: I moved a chipper/shredder from the top of my yard to the area level with the house. It took me that long to find the courage to try it. It's been nearly 2 years since I lost the use of my legs, so this is no small feat for me ( 
). My recovery from back surgery and a vertigo episode continues, and I would estimate my legs are at about 75% pre-disc herniation strength. Couple that with vertigo balance issues and my risk of losing control of the chipper and falling is compounded. It took me using extremely cautious baby steps to accomplish. This gives me a bit of confidence that I can do some yard work that needs to be done.
