Nearly four days' growth mowed down with ease on this final shave for this blade. I'm looking good for a trip to the in-laws' for a Mother's Day celebration today.

We had a good time. Sheri cooked dinner for everyone so we feasted on breaded scallops, her mother's home made bread, and fresh asparagus. Store-bought cream puffs and eclairs for dessert, washed down with fresh coffee.

It's a 40 minute drive, just over the river and through the woods.

Foregoing the Saturday morning shave, as I'll be up early tomorrow. Got to get to the bank before going to the car dealer to pick up my new 2014 Chevy Cruze. It has one ding on it, but I can live with that. It's a well-maintained car, one owner, 89,000 miles. My wife is almost as happy as I am about this, because I've been taking her Jeep Wrangler (which I hate driving - it's primitive) to work for a couple weeks.

Sheri has the Sport Wrangler, which means stiffer suspension. It bounces around like a 1960s pickup!

I do miss my Wrangler…it was fun for a first car. I’m not gonna lie though, as cool and fun as it was…it was a hunk of junk too

I do miss my Wrangler…it was fun for a first car.

My first was a 10 year old maroon 1964 Ford Fairlane 2-door sport coupe with a 260 V8. Good car, but it spent its life in Massachusetts, so it was pretty rusted out from the winter salt. About 10 years later I was tempted to buy another, but it was hard to start in the winter. I want no part of that.

Here are a couple photos of my new used car, a 2014 Chevy Cruze, with about 89,000 miles on it. It's a peppy midsize, but I'm getting used to it. So far I'm pleased with it.
