I was buffing them after applying 15 or so coats of CA and a moment of inattention and the buffer took them to heaven... :cry: That's what happens when you wait till the last moment. I do have another set of scales I made which will have to work. Fail...

IDK maybe I can knock out another set tonight, but the CA won't be ready by tomorrow.. Sigh... I still have a nice set of scales, just not the cool ones I had produced...

I'm just sad that I'm not going to get to see what you originally had in mind for the razor. Nosweat.....you'll knock the other scales out of the park.
 
Honestly, how would we know if he mocked it up with less coats on new scales like he wanted and did the pics and then "finished" them after the pics.... Just saying.... You know , devil's advocate and all....
 
Well final straw broken… my belt sander belt ripped and I don’t have another one. I’ll mock up with a similar set of scales and I’ll show the scale material it was intended to have.

I think shaping my blade put a small rip in it and i exasperated the tear by trying to reduce the thickness of my scale material..

Ok folks we are closing this thread down as the build portion is now closed. Look for the voting thread to be open sometime tomorrow, we are awaiting some items from our contestants. So, again we will have the voting thread up on
