Thanks for popping in here TJ and hope things settle down for you soon man.Nice setup. I was making some palm scales for my SS but broke them. May try again later but time is crazy atm.
Thanks DonaldA nice shave today...I see that Stirling One is not available. What was this soap inspired by? Great shave today!
Thanks Chris, I'm tryingLetting your Noir side out for a little play hmm? Keep up the good open blade work’
Variety, that's why I'm doing this. Check, and are you letting your inner Frenchman out (color here in the states)Well looks who's doing colour coordinated photo shoots now.
If for nothing else straight shaves are a bit of variety.
It takes an effort to start that I'm hoping will just become another mindless choice at some pointNice shave Dave! I keep telling myself I'm going to get more into open blades too....then I grab a DE instead because I'm always rushing in the morning lol. Maybe this Saturday I'll get one in.

Glad you found it...we wanted to say something but...you know...It was light-years better and clearer to see which helped me realize I have a bald spot forming in the back of my head besides the receding front. Not bald yet but very light coverage back there.
I was going to say, "Real Friends would have told me"................I was hoping for 6S news...what is this rubbish?
Glad you found it...we wanted to say something but...you know...
It is amazing isn't it. I credit Chad for the Pineapple Cilantro idea and YOU for the banana. At some point you tossed out the idea of adding cooling agent to everything (or some such non-sense) and the banana pineapple cilantro was mentioned. I made a tub around Christmas time and stuck it in my ever growing pile of "let me try this..." experiments. I didn't get around to even smelling it until I was making the ghost banana. You sir are one of three in possession of that scent. I don't even have any (I was able to test shave with it by lathering up the left over in the tub).2nd thing is I used the @CBLindsay Pineapple Cilantro Banana and this scent is OFF THE HOOK AWESOME. Chris you gotta start this in some full tubs for purchase SOON.........please !! It smelled great in the tub but I'm telling you guys when lathering the strong scent is just a wonderful thing.
I know and appreciate you sending it to me immensely but greedy me wants a bigger tub or 2It is amazing isn't it. I credit Chad for the Pineapple Cilantro idea and YOU for the banana. 2019 Shave # 88 ( 143 Consecutive Shaves )
Razor: Feather SS (2 passes) Rockwell 6c Plate 4 (clean-up)
Blade: Feather Pro Guard (3) Merkur Super (2)
Brush: Paladin 26mm Lime Lotus
Soap: Stirling One
Aftershave 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla
Aftershave 2: Stirling One
Don't have many Cologne inspired scents for the theme shaves that I know of anyway but Stirling One is and so picked it for today. Nice scent and soap. Reached for the Feather SS again. No issues other than the typical weepers I get even with a de around the mouth. Another win. Almost went for 3 passes with the SS but decided not to get over confident on the ATG pass yet and cleaned up with the Rockwell 6c. I ask myself why try and learn the open blade shave when I get spectacular de shaves. Had me reflecting on when I started using de's and although got good shaves from the start it took awhile before they were automatic and technique was nailed down. I LOVE the results I now get and thought.....well why not put the same effort into this. I'm enjoying it so far and as long as I enjoy the learning, I will continue. When it stops being fun I'll take a break. I remembered I bought the clicker counter and logged a single open blade shave a few months ago so am adjusting the count to reflect that. I'm at 3 officially. Woo..............Hoo............Lol. Going to grab a muffin to go with some more coffee and read a little before heading out to do a house this morning. Hope the Cadre has a Stellar Day !!!
