Chad's adventures of shaving, officiating, and life

Ditto here if they see a flake in the sky !! Far different then when I lived in PA and had to dig the car out of what the plow dumped over it

Well sorry for the lack of being present. But this was the set up for the last two shaves as I am doing the 3017 challenge. I am getting good lathers and good results. Really enjoying the soap and scent. Although the cucumber note comes out stronger in the aftershave and not sure how I feel about that. But overall it is good and I will survive.

sadly back to work today. UGH I have been off since 12/21 and while it is good to sometimes get back to normal, the email inbox with a 750 unread messages seems a little daunting. It is going to keep behind here a little longer sadly as I need to get caught up on some work items.

Megan is also back to work and the kids are back to their normal too.

Sadly my mind is not all there. I have been a little bit depressed dealing with an extended family issue that creeps back up around the holidays. We do our best to keep our spirits where they need to be as to not ruin the holidays for our kids. And while I believe that we have done that we haven't had much time to process the events that took place. Thankfully I have a strong family and will be fine, but I will say it is definitely playing into my excusal around here. Couple that with officially being old tomorrow it feels weird that I am leaving my 20s, but I also feel like I have a lot of positives to show for it.

Sorry for being a downer. Have a good day cadre.

You're the adult version of a tween. Not young any more, not middle age. Just what are you Chad?

Going back to work after a long period of vacay is never fun. I took 2 days off and I feel like I took a week and a half off, so I feel your pain! Lol.

You leaving your 20’s officially makes you old?!? Being 36 I feel very compelled to argue with you over that statement lol! You’re only as old as you feel, that makes me 19 on some days, 78 on others ???

True Steve! Age is just a number. It’s all about how you feel and how you act. I certainly don’t feel 42! Nor do I act like it.

Hope the family issue get resolved permanently for you soon instead of having it lurk in the background.

Guess what...only 2 more day to the weekend!

Prayers for your family issues and don't worry to much about leaving your 20s. I did it back in September and aside from waking up with some out of the blue neck pain (it was like someone was pranking me) it really doesn't feel any different

Ha. I turn 51 in March. I still feel the mental maturity of a kid that is in his 20s. Maybe. 30s but it is only the joints that hurt and remind you you are old. And the hairline everyone and then.

Good of luck with your family issues. I can empathize with you there.

I hope everything ends will with the family stuff buddy. And happy birthday! Don't worry.... I am 34 now and turning 30 felt no different. Sometimes you do forget that you are in your 30s when you still feel like your 19 years old. Have a good one.

\n\nThanks for reading everyone. I definitely do not feel old. I actually I am probably healthier than I ever was during my 20s. Aside for the weight I added from the holidays I feel great!

Well all is good on the shave front. It felt good to get a nice BBS shave today. The Parker blade in the Game Changer just delivers. And honestly I am now at the point with my Game Changer, Timeless, and Parker Variant I can't think of another DE razor that I want. I know I say that now and we shall see but it's true.

The 3017 is going well, I will take a quick break tomorrow to honor the memory of Sue Honeybee.

Worked a game yesterday and was evaluated. The evaluation went well, and have a couple of minor things I am going to work on the rest of the season. Today being my 30th birthday I don't feel any different. The kids and my wife got me a couple of small things we don't go big on birthdays. Got a nice new t-shirt, some new sweat pants to lounge in, and a new collapsible bowl to lather in. This weekend we are going out to dinner with some family. Anyways thanks for reading and have a great day Cadre.

"new collapsible bowl to lather in" FTW!

Now that one can't break! WOOHOO! ?

Welcome to the 30 club.

Well today it is all about Honey Bee, seeing as the recent passing of our dear friend and vendor. Her soaps have kind fell by the wayside but I stand my belief that when it comes to Melt and Pour she did it the best. I am happy that I still have some of her soaps in my den that are now unobtanium. She will be missed. The shave today was wonderful.

Enjoyed a nice quiet evening with my family yesterday on my birthday with a nice slice of Red Velvet Cake. Tonight I have a basketball game and looking forward to being back on the hardwood.

Have a great Friday Cadre.
