Bourbon Country Shave Journal - Dave in KY

Sorry about the bite, but glad you are getting your razor to work better for you now. And that little lizard is pretty cool!

I ain’t moving fast either I just spent 40 minutes on the phone with rainforest customer support trying to get my kids kindle to let him read a book. The insanity of it is that the guy actually asked “are you sure you want him to use the kindle to read books?” Dang procreations of questionable reasoning.

That's not even funny is it, just WOW

Great looking bloom on that brush Dave! Is that RV’s version of a beehive?

Yikes! As an avid reader when I was younger, I wish my kids did the same. There’s nothing like a good, physical, paper book in your hands. My kids get caught up more in the piece of tech than the books it contains. They struggle to sit and engage with the words. I hope it works for yours TJ!

2019 Shave # 2

Razor: Rockwell 6s Plate 5
Blade: Gillette Rubie (7)

Brush: Sorrentino Qtr Moon Synthetic

Soap: Chiseled Face GTB (3017 started Jan 1st)

Aftershave 1: Thayers Cucumber
Aftershave 2: Chiseled Face GTB

Morning shave before it's back to the grind and starting the months route over again. Face felt a little raw after yesterdays shave so went back to the 6s for a comfortable shave that would get the desired smooth results while letting the face heal. Laded heavy again and had enough lather to shave the back of my neck as well which was in need. Weight on the tub went down another tenth of an ounce from 4.9 to 4.8. Still feel half asleep as I type this but managed a great shave and topped off with the GTB. The splash bottle is close to empty and while I have 2 backups I don't want to run all the way thru the 2nd bottle this month so will need to decide on another aftershave that would pair well to break things up. Going to relax with coffee for an hour before going out the door. Hope the Cadre has a stellar day !!!

Nice shave Dave, Team Rockwell! Lol. I’ve paired Stirling’s Sharp Dressed Man and WSP’s Barbershop aftershaves with GTB in the past. They both mix with it well. Hope getting back in the swing of things isn’t too hard for you, have a great day!

Yup...getting into the swing of things isn't always easy! But getting that nice comfortable shave and smelling your best should help you get out the door with a smile! Work easy my friend!

Nice shave Dave! The alarm clock went off way to early for me today, but I managed a shave. At least I have a short week.

SDM and GTB and I'm accused of making eclectic choices ?
