I haven't shaved with my HeadBlade in almost ten years. It felt a little clunky at first but it didn't take long to get the hang of it. I used the Henson (no photo) for my face shave.

The Williams Mug Shave Soap face-lathered well with Jayaruh #292 HMW Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the C.V. Heljestrand Lather Catcher razor and the Heljestrand Wedge Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Duru Cologne. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Wednesday morning’s Monstrous Grand Freeze:

Hot shower
Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
Super Speed/Super Platinum day 13
MSC Wintergreen SS
Gold Bond Moisturizer
MSC Wintergreen AS Splash
Viktor&Rolf Spice Bomb EdT

Mama mia I can’t believe that I survived this Grand Freeze - it was so intense. As I said before this Wintergreen soap and aftershave from Fernando are both so similar to the Stirling Glacial Wintergreen in every way but Fernando’s version is definitely somewhat colder. My eyes started tearing as soon as I started lathering up and I had to keep wiping them while I was shaving. The Gold Bond moisturizer works so well as a balm, and the Wintergreen aftershave went on with its lovely scent along with its frightening menthol punch - just a SMALL dab on both cheeks and on your neck is enough - any more than that will have you screaming bloody murder. Finally the gorgeous Spice Bomb fragrance and that’s it, that’s all. Three passes gave me one helluva great BBS shave but my blade’s soon going to be finished.

Very nice. I've seen Mark Szorady demonstrate the HeadBlade razor on his YouTube channel. It appears to work very well. Did you use the The Slick shave cream on you face too? Have a great Hump Day, Akhi!
 
Wednesday 2/25 Shave
17th ANNUAL ONE BLADE IN FEBRUARY CHALLENGE 2026

DAY 25 – Two Pass and some Clean Up
Edge has smoothed out but still effective
Better technique on the chin and neck resulted in a better shave
Overall one of my best shaves again this week

It sounds like it might have been less cold to stick your face in the snow for five minutes.Great shave, Lantzman!

Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Phenomenal shave this morning! Returned to Stirling Soap Co. and their excellent Rive Gauche homage, "Seine Reserve" shave soap. Fantastic scent with a phenomenal lather built with the Paladin badger brush for three passes with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel, Fine Accoutrements "American Blend" aftershave lotion & Yves Saint Laurent "Rive Gauche" EdT. Fantastic shave all around. Literally zero feedback from the alum.

BBS bliss!!
