1902 Kampfe Brothers/Star
Star Wedge
Cold Water Rinse
Humphrey's Witch Hazel

The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap face-lathered well with Jayaruh #277 Badger Brush. Menthol Monday’s Custom Made Grand Freeze:

A hot shower to start
Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
Super Speed/Super Platinum day 11
MSC Wintergreen SS
Gold Bond Moisturizer
MSC Wintergreen AS Splash

Unless I’m mistaken which I don’t think I am there’s nobody else who has this mega hyper mentholated wintergreen scented soap and aftershave. My dear brother Fernando knows that I craved the Stirling Glacial Wintergreen stuff so badly so he did me a huge favour and made this combination just for me. There’s no labelling on the soap tub or on the aftershave bottle because they’re not on the market. I’ve had the pleasure of using them a few times and they actually pass the Glacial Wintergreen in terms of menthol power. The scent is exactly the same and the soap gives the same wonderful lather - oh yes, a great frigid shave awaits me in the morning!

Guten Morgen liebe Herren!

(Good morning dear sirs!)

Meine Sonntagsrasur:

(My Sunday shave:)

Hot shower
Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
Super Speed/Super Platinum day 10
Gold Dachs Spezial SS
Lubriderm Moisturizer
Yves Saint Laurent Pour Homme EdT

This Gold Dachs Spezial is a lovely and very elegant soap from Germany that’s been around for MANY years and I received this puck a long time ago from a good friend of mine in Frankfurt. The scent is so old school and barbershoppy, I believe it’s tallow based, my Plissoft synthetic brush whipped up such awesome lather, the Super Platinum blade skated across my face so easily because of the slickness, and it felt so comfortable when I finished off. The Lubriderm moisturizer was so soothing, and last but not least the Yves Saint Laurent fragrance which is beautiful. Three passes gave me such a terrific BBS shave that I enjoyed to the max!

Passt auf euch auf - bis bald!

Thanks for your post, I enjoyed it. I have the Marke Gold Dachs Spezial also. It's all you said about and more. An excellent, old school hard soap.

The results were great but I'm not a fan of this soap. For me it doesn't have the slickness I look for. Keeping in line with my view that life is too short for crappy shaves, this one will be not make any further appearances.

Thanks for your post. I think Proraso's shaving creams are much better than their soaps. I stopped using their soaps, but I just used the Proraso Green cream this morning.

What a wonderful shave you had my Lantsman!

23 February, 2026

Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Great shave this morning! A nice (if light) scent from the Crabtree & Evelyn "Sienna" shave soap, A wonderfully thick and slick lather built with the WWBW synth for three passes with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel & Dana "English Leather" aftershave splash.

BBS bliss!!

Hope you have a great day. :)
