Picked these up yesterday (actually it was Tuesday) from a local fragrance retailer/discounter. She called me on Monday and left me a message that a few bottles of Ferrari fragrances were in. I called back and asked her if she had Radiant Bergamot & Nobile Fig to reserve one of each and I’d stop by mid week. For $35 each, can’t complain one bit.

Despite all of @GearNoir's negativity, the back up is here!

I made post over on Basenotes looking for suggestions for similar fragrances as a eventual replacement, and basically there aren't any other than Yatagan. However a Basenoter PM'd me to let me know he had a bottle, and sold it to me at a very reasonable price.
He also had LOT of vintage mini's for sale, I could have picked up a lot more, but this was what the budget allowed, but some real finds for sure!

Rochas Macassar
Lancome Sagamore
Guerlain Derby
Chanel Egoiste
and he threw in the Lancome Trophee for free.

For sure I'll be picking up more vintage minis and decants now that I've got a source.

For whatever reason Eloge is a fragrance that I really identify with, in fact when we commissioned our jeweler friend to make our wedding rings, I took the bottle with me as an inspiration. I think he did a great job!

Etro Vetiver
I've even wanting to try something from the house for a while, and decided to give this a go when I saw it at a great price on Notino.
Grassy, dewy vetivers are amongst my favorites, and this is that, while also feeling extremely wearable. There's no mistake that this is a vetiver, but there's a bit of a balsamic depth here as well that really balances the fragrance and I think is what's making it feel so wearable. At least at this early stage in my first wearing.

Juniper Berries, Moss, Citrus & Patchouli. A surprisingly good clean and fresh fragrance that is better than what I actually described. Take Mancera Cedrat Boisee add a helping of MFK Gentle Fluidity Silver with a touch of Aventus. Then throw a pinch of Aqua Velva (Williams version in the glass flacon) and that’s what you get here with Moss+ by Commodity in its strongest concentration of Bold. Clean & Crisp with it’s own character and flair. Worth sampling….

I'm trying to sample a few houses in depth. Maria Candida Gentile has always piqued my interest. Maria is one of the few perfumers out of a prestigious school in Grasse France to attain their highest honor. The perfumes sound up my alley, lots of naturals used, unique but unpretentious.

I've eyed getting samples a few times, but they are a bit pricey. However I popped in a couple of days ago and say 40% off all samples! Time to stock up!

Pierre Guillaume set of 15 samples.
totally new house to me, I've trying to change gears to some more modern scents, lets see.
Unfortunately one leaked, Monsieur but there was enough to wear yesterday. Pretty nice expiration of woods, patchouli and vetiver, very manly, but not that cliche woody amber smell I get all over now. Lots of evolution as well.

Top Notch Presentation, a sturdy magnetic folding box inside the outer cardboard.

And also a scalable certificate of authenticity.

Super cool modern bottle, fits the house perfectly.
