The 2022 TSC Weight Loss Challenge!!

Apologies for the ONE MONTH LONG DELAY! No good excuses....

The June winner of a soap and aftershave from @Joe Hackett was @b1hart (Because @Quijote & @Spider had already won) and the overall Winner of the 2022 Weight loss challenge having lost 21.53% of his body weight was @Spider who will receive a gift of some sort from the TSC Owners.

Again, sorry for the delay and thank you to everyone for participating.

Thanks,

Matt

Is there going to be a continuation of this challenge? I'd like to see if I can drop a few lbs.

I would like to see it come back in January for sure and I am personally committed to maintaining a stable weight and exercising more. I'm not sure if we have enough sponsor support for a year round weight loss "challenge." I suppose we could continue weighing in and talking about our progress in this thread or another if you'd like. What would you like to see? Are you interested in starting a mid year/fall weight loss challenge???? 🙃

1st weigh-in for just over 3 weeks for me. I know I did lose a few pounds while in Nova Scotia (mainly because my empty plate was stolen from the table before I could go grab seconds ... but hey, when in Rome .... 🤷‍♂️ ). Gorged on burgers, pizza and poutine on the drive back and hey, whaddayaknow, I'm up 1/2 pound. That should go away once the poutine works it way through 🤪

Surprisingly, I am up this week, weighing in at 155.4 lbs. I thought I would have dropped a few pounds since we're back home and eating healthy food instead of take-out and/or diners.

Well got my blood results back, and while my weight has not gone down as much as I would like from last year at this time, I am happy to report that ALL of my numbers went down this year.

Last year:
A1c: 4.9
Total Cholesterol: 159
Triglycerides: 114
HDL: 64
Cholesterol HDL Ratio: 2.5
LDL: 75

This Year:
A1c: 4.8
Total Cholesterol: 148
Triglycerides: 58
HDL: 70
Cholesterol HDL Ratio: 2.1
LDL: 66

Okay well technically my HDL (good cholesterol) went up a little bit, but no concern as it is still well within the normal range. And the big drop in triglycerides is celebrated.
