Bourbon Country Shave Journal - Dave in KY

I call that 'squeaky clean'! It's totally normal, but I get how it can drive a person crazy. I can't stand the sound of people eating. If my wife eats something crunchy I have to turn music on or something to cover it up.

BTW, you're talking about having to go here or there for work, but I don't actually know what you do?

Common laborer. Buff floors and Commercial/Residential Window Cleaning. I'm an old man in a young man's business............

The neighbors can all thank me for getting them to upgrade all the main lines just to hook us up now 😂😂😂 We've always been inaccessible even though everyone around us has it. They finally gave up trying to get me to pay for them to run more main line and are doing themselves. I can stop using an extender on the in laws wifi now. Lol

Laborer maybe, but common likely not. I worked my way through college as a janitor at a mansion in Beverly Hills cleaning and waxing those beautiful marble floors so I know how that goes.

2019 Shave # 266 ( 319 Consecutive Shaves )
Razor: Rockwell 6s Plate 5
Blade: Pol Silver SI (4)
Brush: Dishi
Soap: CBL Cut Tobacco
Aftershave 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla
Aftershave 2: Nivea 2 in 1
Fragrance: Penhaligon's Sartorial

Bunch of talk about tobacco and I have had in my mind to get the CBL Cut Tobacco out for several shaves now. Today was the day and had a great shave except for taking off an "Angry Follicle" and knew it as soon as it clipped it. Slight resistance with skin tug as the the sharp blade powered right through. An audible grunt from me saying "yep, that's a divot". Alum stopped the seepage quickly and we are sitting on the typical smooth face feel shave. Life is Pain, power on folks. Have a Great day Cadre !!

taking off an "Angry Follicle"
Hey...some people pay big bucks for that kind of surgery at the Dermatologists! 🤪

So going to watch Tennessee get man-handled today? Normally I would say that since Florida lost their starting QB for the season Rocky Top might have a chance. But to be honest, I think the Gator's back up QB (Kyle Trask) is a bit of an upgrade...no mater what kind of goofy facial hair he rocks!

2019 Shave # 268 ( 321 Consecutive Shaves )
Razor: The Ascension Double Open Comb in Copper
Blade: Wizamet (1)
Brush: Razorock 400
Soap: A&E Frozen Mojitos
Aftershave 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla
Aftershave 2: A&E Frozen Mojitos

@Bill in Oneida loaned me his Copper Ascension DOC Razor and it was a pleasure to have a chance to try it. Gave a smooth shave but not efficient enough for my taste as has been the experience of most every DOC I've tried. It was a nice shave but I can tell whiskers will be returning pretty quick. Again, I was glad I had a chance to take it for a spin but fortunately it isn't a buy for me. I realized after my shave we're on @LNHC soaps this week for theme shaves and will rectify that starting tomorrow @dangerousdon Have a great day Cadre !!
