Wives & wet shaving

Welcome to TSC Lisa! I have no wife to give me dirty looks regarding my online shopping cart or abscond with any of my shaving software, but I did PIF a few items to a friend a while back, and his wife promptly claimed a tin of Le Pere Lucien Cedar & Patchouli as her own. She stayed with carts, but raided his soap and cream supply on a regular basis.

Welcome to TSC, Lisa! It's great to have you here!

I've been at this for a little over 3 1/2 years and my wife has NO interest in traditional wet shaving. She actually finds my obsession with wet shaving a little odd and does not seem to appreciate any shave related purchases.

I guess we just agree to disagree on the subject!

It's great that you just want to be "one of the guys," but that might be difficult since you are able to make such wonderful soap! I have a couple of your shaving soaps that I enjoy very much!

Hahaha! Sounds like a smart lady.

Just placed my first LNHC order yesterday. After some of the talk I’ve heard!!! Great to have you as part of the cadre!

Sorry that I'm late to the game....WELCOME!

My wife just shakes her head and thinks this whole thing is another thing that makes me strange. I did talk her into making shave soap once and it came out pretty good.

Welcome Lisa. Glad to have you around. My wife won't go near traditional shaving stuff. I made her a lather one time and she liked it, but didn't want to take time to do it everyday. She still shaves just like Chris's wife with water and a disposable in the shower. My wife's favorite scent is pure lavender.

Welcome Lisa. When I put my shaving kit together for a recent trip to Guatemala guess which soap I chose--Somali Rose. Your tubs are the perfect size for travel yet big enough for loading up a brush directly from the tub. I used a Razorock 400 synthetic brush and it was a match made in heaven with the Somali Rose. Splendid soap.

Hi Lisa. My wife has not wanted to use any of my DE supplies. But my daughter has only used my wet shaving products for shaving her legs. I bought her a mint, blue handled Lady Gillette. She loves picking through the soap collection and uses a synthetic brush. It baffles me why my wife hasn’t jumped on board.

It could be your sees shaving as a chore and/or she's feels too busy with many other things. It's nice to see you passing the tradition on to a new generation.

On another note, welcome to the cadre!

My fiancé uses a cart in the shower. She’s interested in having me lather her legs sometime, so the conversion is still a work in progress!

Thanks for jumping in Luvmufin. Welcome!

Well keep on her, I'm sure it would be at minimum a fun experience for you both.

Hi, everyone. I'm new to your forum. I bet you're all thinking wt* a female invading guy space. Well, just treat me like one of the guys. Here's my question.
I'm curious how many of your wives steal your shaving soap, brush, razor and shave their legs?

i don’t know if steal is the correct word, to my bride it is “sharing the acquisitions.” I have taken the liberty of purchasing her a custom brush made by MERshaving, as well as picking up extra soaps she “acquired” from my side of the cabinet. I am more than happy to share because this means I can try new soaps more often.
