Hi, everyone. I'm new to your forum. I bet you're all thinking wt* a female invading guy space. Well, just treat me like one of the guys. Here's my question.
I'm curious how many of your wives steal your shaving soap, brush, razor and shave their legs?

Welcome to TSC Lisa! We all appreciate you jumping in and joining the conversation here.

My wife has yet to jump on the Soap, Brush, and Razor wagon yet. Though not to long ago she told me that she might want me to whip up some lather for her the next time she shaves here legs. I would love to get her in on the action so my "hobby" doesn't seem so weird to her!

Welcome to TSC Lisa! Don't be shy, I'm glad to have you with us. My wife has Soap, Brush, and Razor I've bought her but she tends to use her electric.

Welcome on Lisa!

So far, I’ve only been doing this 3 years. The missus is still in the acclimating phase I guess. She has no gear and does not use mine; she’s still suspicious if a saved cart email pops up, asking”what this time?” some what jokingly...somewhat...

I did offer to shave her legs for her once recently...she gave me a horrified, disbelieving look, lol. ?

My girlfriend is also a traditional wet shaver. She doesn’t steal my stuff, I make sure she has enough of her own.

And you’re not the first girl to join the forum. ?

That is awesome Dave. Ask her for me if she shaves with or against the grain. I shave against the grain...it's hard for me to gst the angle right with the grain.

That's hilarious. Whip her up some lather an let her go to town. I'm sure she'll like it.?

Nice to hear I'm not a loaner femal here lol. I bought my husband a nice badger brush and a vintage 1959 gillette fat boy razor, so they both are fair game in my eyes. I also supply the shaving soap.

Welcome Lisa!
My Mrs. has her own soap, brush, and razor, but since I usually take my shower first and shave while she is in hers, she just uses whatever I made.
She hasn't gotten the hang of making her own lather, so that's usually my job anyhow.

Mine has MS and has trouble sometimes. She won't argue if I shave hers with a DE or SE, but she won't let me near her with a straight though.

Thanks for the welcome Don. Some women would rather go to a spa an have all their hair ripped from their bodies over and over. I think that's weird and would rather shave than go through that pain...to each their own.

A big ol welcome Lisa, you are most certainly much more than “just one of the guys”, you are a MASTER in your craft. As such you are responsible for enabling many a gent in his search for the ultimate lather.

In answer to to your question, my wife is a Bic disposable and water in the shower kinda gal. Zip,zap done. I have made her some soaps/creams and have given her soaps to try but she’s not a fan. She absolutely won’t try a DE, gave her a lady Gillette star and she gave it right back.

I have a 16 yr old daughter who enjoys the pampering a lather shave affords. She doesn’t steal my stuff but she is quick to pick out a new soap when we are at a shop. My boys (19+ 22) each enjoy the wet shave experience but I’ve caught them both with an electric razor hidden in their room...ugh. Guess working two jobs and going to school zaps the time they are willing to devote to shaving. Both still whip up a lather now and then for a straight shave or vintage DE. My oldest is even known among his friends to be the guy to go to if you need a good shave. He shaves them with a vintage Weck med prep...no injuries yet.

Welcome Lisa. My wife has her own brush (one of my synthetics), and her own razor(my vintage ‘57 flare tip) and she has a few soaps that are hers and hers only. But since you asked I whipped the Royal Fougere lather up tonight and she stole my RX SE to shave and made one pass Against the grain. She didn’t even use aftershave products.

Dang it Chris, you gave me away. They were suposed to figure it out on their own...lol.

You are far to kind with your words, I'd honestly just want to be one of the guys.
