Welp, I guess it's about time I start posting here! I listen to A LOT of music, almost all day on and off. My tastes are diverse and spread out, I'll listen to almost anything but my most listened to style of music is electronic. And that's a general statement, i listen to various albums and subgenres, and typically I'll have albums go instead of singles. I also like to find an artist and surf their discography and cherry pick all the songs I like from them into a Playlist.

Currently, I'm listening to the album Untrue by Burial. It's an older album I discovered by accident while surfing YouTube, when a small YouTuber made a video about old dubstep and electronic music and spoke at length about this album and the effect it had on him and the culture.1000005388.jpg
I listened to this during a pretty dark and uncertain time in my life and this album comforted me. As a warning this isn't everyone's cup of tea. It's dark, moody, emotional, and melancholic. The vibe is raw and the sampling is exceptional, a lot of it from British culture and gaming, which I can sometimes catch here and there. If I remember correctly, the artist made it in about 2 or so weeks with some incredibly outdated tech and yet it's regarded as a masterpiece and won quite a few awards.

Here's the link to the album and the video I mentioned. My favorite song on the album is "Shell of Light".

Bandcamp.. I have discovered SO MANY great indie artists there.

Another album I'm listening to, which feels right for the times, is Devious Methods by Hive1000005389.jpg
Another electronic album, drum and bass, from 1998. This is very, very solid. I enjoy the pace and rhythm, but the sound and vibe is present. It's dark, anxious, and riddled with edge and angst. This is Hives second album, the first of which titled Working with Sound, is a rather unimpressive album that's experimental, yet there are some moments here that calls back to its style. Even though he already had some experience, this sounds raw and underground, and I'm sure it sounds excellent on vinyl. The sampling here is excellent, pulling from old movies and programs, and thematically is very Y2K. It's uncertain at times and meaty, thoughts of religion and nuclear war is strung around. It's the soundtrack of the end! Give it a listen if you want. My favorite song is A Chain Of Prophecies, it's heavy and dark. The best vibe would be like any late 90s/ early 2000s street racing or dystopian media
