What Fragrance Did You Use Today?

Pierre Guillaume - Iris Oriental
First iris centric of the season. Pierre does my favorite iris scents, very classic with a clear rich iris note layered with cardamom and honey to give a touch of sweetness. Very much a masculine iris, there's no lipstick or powder here, it's got a special richness instead. Truly wonderful, but not super long lasting.

RL Polo Green enthusiasts, this is a must have if one is looking for that type of fragrance. Not as green or mossy with the soap like background and the tobacco with leather that hits really nice and smooth on the drydown but, Brioni Essential is a more modern take of that Chypre with a more aromatic & sweetened earthy flair especially if one enjoys Patchouli & woods. Essential delivers a slight green with pine like nuance that is accompanied by the Grapefruit with a touch of the Cardamom that gives it a smoother sweetness but, not overly so. Not soapy or bitter, just a green modern day professional and simply masculine creation for today. Totally worth it for the low price at discounters.

Xerjoff Casamorati Fiero
We set the clocks back last night. Here, where it’s horribly dark for way too long, loosing that last hour of light in the evening feels like a real shock to the system, and a horrible reminder of what’s coming. Spraying this on right now, after a long day was so uplifting. It’s just the quintessential green barbershop. I’m always surprised when houses keep these old school frags around, but so glad they do, this is one of the best in its category.
