Got lucky to find this for a reasonable price a while back, but in all honesty, didn't jive with it. But on this crisp, cool fall day it finally made sense to my nose. It's a somewhat sweet musk at its heart, but made somewhat more rough by a hefty dark patchouli. I don't really get the rain on concrete that others do, but I get a sort of Disney version of asphalt. It's very pleasant, and you can clearly see it's a Kurkdijan creation, just slightly rougher around the edges.

A favorite of mine to wear in the evening when it’s getting cold out.
Pear leaf gives a subtle glow to a gorgeous honeyed tobacco, like many of the black bottle line it’s got a bit of a rough edge to keep it from being too fine to wear whenever. One of his best masculines IMHO.

Continuing with the NR theme this week, I’ve only got the two, so…
This is definitely more floral and musky than the EdT. I’m getting cold floral musks, the bottle color really nails it. (Sadly my pic doesn’t but they can’t al be winners.) I have to try to find the iris, but it’s clearly there, just overshadowed by the musks.
This week I’m liking the OG EdT more, but in the past I preferred the other. Not sure I think either is worthy of the hype they get, but they are both very wearable and enjoyable, but then I don’t gravitate to this style of hyper modern normally. Still I’m enjoying both of these much more than I have in the past, which is why I don’t like to move perfumes I don’t love right away too quickly. Tastes and noses change.
