What Fragrance Did You Use Today?

Roberto Greco - Rauque
An enticing blend of narcissus, mushroom, hay, and and ethereal gauze. The opening is pretty phenomenal, I always loved enjoy fragrances that have a feel they are a fleeting energy in the air, this really manages to light up the sire light an aurora, but of course such openings fade fast. What’s left are the listed accords. Narcissus is one of those genderless florals, the over all vibe is just something a bit artsy, and more sophisticated. The floral aspect keeps everything else from weighing the perfume down, it manages to always feel light, yet present, masculine, but with soft touches.

Caron - Le 3e Homme de Caron
62nd birthday, and this felt like just the thing. IMHO one of the best masculine fougeres out there. The aromatic citrus in the opening is superb and then the dry down goes more into a clove note, backed with geranium of course. From reading about it, this may have been a bit ahead of it's time when released, but I'll admit now it's borderline dated feeling, but it's so darn good that who cares, and if there's ever a day to remember being dated ain't all bad, it's today.
