Pierre Guillaume - Cuir d'Iris
Probably my favorite Iris scent, Pierre actually has a number for great Iris based scents, but the leather in this one takes it to the top, that aromatic saddle soap type leather perfectly tempered with iris mellowness.
Pierre Guillaume - Costume Liquid
Fresh peppery iris, vetiver, violet, basil, peony. Even though I generally wear this pretty casually, it's sort of the ultimate suit scent. Very grown up, but without the stuffiness.
Pierre guillaume - Iris Oriental
I was wondering when Iris season would come for me this winter, I guess we are there now. Yesterday I said Cuir d'Iris was my favorite Iris, but now I'm not sure, the is just as good, just with a big dollop of cardamom rather than leather. PG has an insanely huge catalog, for sure some are better than others, but when he does classics, they really are outstanding, and this is no exception. This one wears lighter a brighter but still very grounded. The iris in both is a very 'solid' iris, not powdery or lipsticky in any way, there's a masculine density to them that suit the backing notes. I see these as almost iris for people who don't like iris fragrances.
