Choice was dictated by price. I really would have liked a newer car, but the budget was tight. This is a boom time for used car sales; prices are way up. The CarFax showed regular maintenance with no major issues, so I went with it. Hope I was right.

One thing I saw you might want to check.......
GM halted sales of 2013- and 2014-model Cruzes with 1.4-liter engines (about 60% of Cruzes), initially without stating a reason for the stop-sale order;[65] subsequently GM disclosed that the issue was a faulty right-side axle shaft.... Make sure that's been fixed under recall !!!!
