We have a place for that!I'd give the review but I'll take up an entire page!

Picked this up from my local Ollie's for 7 bucks before tax. Now, I'm sure it's probably a cheap POS but this is very very budget beginner stuff that's surprisingly not flimsy. It's a screw top and weighs 63 grams, or so my scale claims. The handle is quite textured and grippy, my fingers don't really slip but it does feel a little grating if I drag my fingers up the texture too much.
Overall, not too bad, from my beginners opinion. All that's really missing is some quality preshave, shave soap, and maybe some post shave stuff. Overall, not a bad start. If after a few shaves I feel something is off, like the razors are crap or the handle is meh, I'll try that Goodline brand handle that CVS peddles and go from there, and try other razors as well. Won't get used until February/March of next year, but hey, I've got em!Honestly, it looks like a very cheap version of a Gillette Superspeed or Schick Krona. I’ve purchased similar duplicates before and they don’t last long before falling apart. Buy the vintage versions and they will last forever!Well? Guess who's back. I know this is a mail call for what's new that you ordered but I guess it's also now a what's new you acquired in general, heh.
So a small follow up from the starter kit discussion i brought up, I found something quite cheap and interesting. I do like the little travel box. It even has a small built in mirror! Definitely for travel but it feels pretty tactical and military in nature. The blades seem iffy, I'm not sure if they're the most amazing quality but they're worth a shot just to try. Here's a Pic of the set. Also! I still have my old brush and bowl combo from way back! Bought it in or after high school when I had to shave for work/interviews, and then it just sat around. Nothing special at all, but hey, saves me the money. Bowl is probably low quality pewter and the handle is plastic with a more than likely synthetic brush. Originally I think it did some with pre shave soap, shave soap, and after shave. Didn't use the soaps much but that black "peppery" after shave went quick.View attachment 151570Overall, not too bad, from my beginners opinion. You're probably right, don't get me wrong. But like I said. Didn’t Vivitar specialize in TV’s and cameras? I owned a digital camera by them back in the 2000’s. Interesting move to get into razors, I wonder if this is some sort of knock off name? Cool find, looks like a Schick Krona.Well? Guess who's back. I know this is a mail call for what's new that you ordered but I guess it's also now a what's new you acquired in general, heh.

Sure Winner Bracing After Shave pissed me off. I kept smelling it because there's no description, then it hit me and I thought "no... no, it can't be". It's somewhere between MODERN formulation Brut Aftershave/Splash On and VINTAGE Formulation Mennen. It's got a Leathery Sweetness somewhere but it's soapy as hell. Like, old school soapy.View attachment 151794
Just got in a big bundle of brand new, unused avon decanters at a pretty great price, maybe more than some would pay but for the quality it's great. They all come with original packaging, accessories, and the aftershaves. Each have an individual scent and I can't wait to use them, and share some opinions!
I love both of those (especially mixed). It's been a while, but i don't recall it smelling like that. But my nose isn't very refined.. It's somewhere between MODERN formulation Brut Aftershave/Splash On and VINTAGE Formulation Mennen.
I had to put some on my skin and take a deep smell of it outside the bottle, new review is on the Avon threadI love both of those (especially mixed). It's been a while, but i don't recall it smelling like that. But my nose isn't very refined.
Time to refinish the dining room table?
