What’s new to you?

Received a little mail call from Stirling. Everyone was ordering Christmas Eve... had to join in! Scent is really nice off the tub: pine, then some sweetness (probably the cranberry, vanilla and spices). It’s a scent that sounds like it could be tacky and overbearing, but it actually comes off quite refined to my (admittedly unrefined) nose. It’s on deck for the shave tomorrow. ?

ok, so the lemon raspberry is it like fresh fruits or like artificial candy smell?
 
Okay, so I got a few things in today. Some from BST listing of KJ's (still more there) Some Pitralon AS and WCS Campfire soap. Included were a few samples. Thanks KJ


The other was from a generous JWS VII who sent me his Asylum RX to try. It was wrapped in a towel tighter then his little girl watching football with him ? I'll take good care of it John for sure. As a matter of fact I need the Cadre's help interpreting Johns note to me in last pic and I quote, "I'm in no hurry to get it back." Doesn't sound like I need to send it back the way I read it.........................Just kidding. He included some se blades and a de blade that he says I need to try for Science. Yep, I'm leary, but willing to give it a try since Chad has been doing his experiments and is sending me a Graham Field blade...........Hey wait a minute. Why is everyone picking on me? I didn't sign up for this test ?? Looking forward to trying the RX out and hoping the doctor agrees with me so I can hunt one as my modern SE razor for the den I know in advance will work. If not I'll move on to investigating the Vector or King Cobra.
 
Yep sounds like a permanent loan on the RX to me! ?

Fun shaves to be had in the next week. Looking forward to the journal reports!
 
Very nice. I've been eyeballing the RX for some time, but not sure I want to jump into that big of an expense on an unknown performance. (Unknown to me anyhow.)
 
Doc226 cleaned these two puppies up for me! Both are W&B FBUs, one has original horn scales and the other has fresh stabilized maple burl with doc’s CA finish. Can’t wait till they hit my door!

 
A lil' sumthin showed up today....



The Vector has arrived...great packaging! Beautiful first impressions upon unboxing. I've read how nimble it is in the shave, and now having handled it, I can see that it will be. Looking forward to trying it out for the first time!
