TV Shows

season 3 of American Gods just begun a well.
Sweet! I wasn't all that pleased with Season two...I mean it was okay...but I think they needed to include some things that they didn't and leave out some things that they had. I'll wait for the season to be half way through and then pick up Starz for a month of so.

Just letting you know gear...that if you had a problem with the MA Fluff in Vikings...Black Sails in probably ten times worse. I think it is an incredible show...but it definitely has some gratuitous scenes.
Yeah there are definitely some unnecessary MA scenes in Black Sails. Like Don said, if you can get past that, it’s totally worth it.
Thanks for the heads up! I looked it up late last night and it’s just as well, I don’t have subscription to that service anyway! Oh well 👍

Considered a “TV mini-series” but really could survive as a collection of short films/movies...I’m going through Small Axe from Steve McQueen.

It’s a different time and place historically (really only a generation or two separation at most) but it’s based on true stories. To say it’s heart rending and yet powerful just doesn’t do it justice. It’s just wow.

The Netflix "Night Stalker" documentary was a fantastic show! I was familiar with Ramirez and his crimes but learned a few things from the doc I wasn't aware of. Highly recommended if you're into true crime shows.

Imposters Season 1 - thought it pretty good.
Flight Attendant - superb. Give Cuoco all the Emmys now.

Finished watching Wandavision a couple nights ago. Really fun series and some really well done storyline. I think they could have stretched it out a tad more but it was still great. I don’t think Scarlet Witch will be getting her own movie beyond Avengers at any point, so I hope they do more with it.

Excited to dig into Falcon/Winter Soldier next.

I have to preface that i am not a huge superheroes (or really care what universe ( dc v marvel) they come from) fan but i can enjoy some of the movies, but wandavision was hard to sit through for the first 1 and a half episodes. I guess i don’t understand what i am missing.

Finished it last night. Really enjoyed it! Great pacing I thought and parts of it hit me right in the feels.

Will probably start Falcon / WS this weekend.

The first episode or two does start of pretty slow and you’re kinda like “WTH am I watching?!” For me it got loads better into the 4th episode and beyond.

I did a little research beforehand because I’d never really dug into the Scarlet Witch comics. The show is based on a niche/short-run series which the show condenses a bit to up the pacing some. The concept of what happens kind of explores a pretty major “what-if” scenario when it comes to the motivating factors of a superhero and what guides their use of their powers.

i'll slog through the 4th episode and see what happens and how in feel 📺.

The first installment of Falcon and the Winter Soldier was on tonight, but they cut out the scene in the credits, which usually has interesting stuff. They did that on Wandavision too. I a outraged and ready to whine or maybe have a nap.

There are a couple of the later episodes in Wandavision that have extra scenes! Don’t miss em!

So i got through ep4 and now it’s starting to come together and be a bit more interesting. Typically i like this sort of setup and the OG shows it “parodies”, but it was killing me at first

I liked WandaVision quite a bit. The first couple episodes were a bit baffling but there was enough quirkiness in it toake me realize there was much more to the story.

I'm watching the second season of Britannia. First season was on Amazon Prime but second season is on Epix (I think you can watch both seasons on Epix). It is a seriously underrated show. I used to think this was the story of Boudicca but I'm not so sure any more. Either way...it's a really good show!
