Actually, the more I think about it I just wanted to add this. In my honest opinion, those folks that look down on homage watches, regardless of what brand they’re trying to give the homage to don’t really truly understand the love of watches to them. It’s about status and anybody that gives that argument, then oh a Rolex or an omega, they hold their value well the worst thing you can do is by a watch is an investment piece. That’s just stupid again in my opinion, watches should be loved for the love of watches. My collection ranges from 40 bucks to five figures but I love each and everyone on them.
Anyway, there’s my watch soap box

That story just made my day…thank you so much for sharing it. I lost a friend (to cancer) this week (and am fighting the disease myself), so this made me cry. I’m SO GLAD your wife is in remission. And…that’s a s**t hot watch (particularly on that Bond NATO…).I have a small rotation of watches, and most of them remind me of someone or something.
This Hamilton is my favorite. It arrived in the mail one day out of the blue. It was a gift from my friend, Chris, shortly after my Bride was diagnosed with cancer. I found out later that Chris purchased an identical watch for himself.

We were preparing for a trip to MN (at the height of the COVID pandemic) for a stem cell transplant. We planned to be there three weeks, and it ended up being three months.
Needless to say, my Bride did all the heavy lifting, with me as her primary caregiver. Chris was a much-needed prayer warrior. He and I spoke quite often. When we couldn't, Chris suggested that we trade wrist shots to let each other know that things would be OK...

Chris and I met many years ago on The Shave Den, and we shared many common interests. Private messages turned into late night phone calls and eventually road trips and get togethers. Our friendship continued to grow until Chris passed away unexpectedly. I'm fortunate to have friends, but Chris was a brother. I think about him every day. The Hamilton has earned a lifetime spot in my rotation because of the wonderful memories it carries.
...and things are most definitely OK due to God's grace. My Bride is in deep remission, and we will both see Chris again one day.
Thank you so much for the kind words. My Bride and I are indeed blessed. She's actually a three-time cancer survivor. I am truly sorry about your friend. I will pray for you as you continue to fight! That story just made my day…thank you so much for sharing it. That's not orange. Time for an eye exam.Despite the fact that @heysi seems to be triggered into some kind of clinical obsession with the Giants any time he sees orange, today we are supporting the Shimizu S-Pulse!!
