TSC Watch List

Since dropping out of the cadre a bunch of years ago, watches somewhat usurped my SR obsession - at least from a collecting/drooling perspective. I shall be scrolling back through these almost 400 pages to enjoy everyone's pieces.

I though I would post my most recent acquisition - my second watch from a microbrand named Erebus.

I'm here to warn you.........at some point I started judging watches.....completely arbitrarily......and made friends, enemies, and a silly mess of myself. But it was all in good fun.
I definitely have aesthetics that I am very much drawn to with horology...and watches that I find absolutely hideous, with a bunch falling in between that are just not my jam. But I'm pretty good at not judging others for their tastes. But perhaps it would be fun to have some enemies 😉😂

Love the Black Bay 58! Do you have feelings about the new(ish) 54? I have a slightly smaller wrist, and it has of late been calling out to me as solid option for a "serious" purchase watch...
I’ve pretty much stopped looking at watches since I purchased that one 2+ years ago now. It killed my acquisition disorder pretty hard. So I haven’t really investigated the 54. I almost bought the Pelagos instead of the 58 because of the much nicer bracelet but I’m glad it didn’t. That thing was just too bulky in the end.

My feeling on the 58 is that it’s been perfect! Though I’m a little apprehensive about the bill for its first maintenance which will probably need to be done in the next couple/few years.

I believe I also have smaller wrists but I am not a fan of undersized watch faces. The 58 sits just right for me and is comfortable when worn with a slightly loose bracelet. It’s one of 3 I keep in rotation each week.

Yeah, I definitely don't find a 39mm too big for my wrist - it's kind of the perfect size for me...but I do love a few smaller watches in my collection. I can imagine a beauty like the 58 could cure a person of the acquisition sickness, haha! I HAVE heard that the bracelet on the 54 is a serious upgrade from the 58. I have yet to try either on. Kinda scared to 😁

Ideally you’ll never know, until you can try it on your wrist! I was fortunate to find an authorized Tudor dealer only about a little over an hour away.

This Seestern homage to the original Seiko 62Mas is one of my faves - it scratches the itch of a vintage classic that I can’t justify buying. Sometimes I think this design - particularly in its original 37mm size like this homage - is just the perfect watch.
