But aren’t straight razors top shelf?@CBLindsay I thought we were going to move this to the proper category for the future...........
There are a ton of guys around here who rave about the game changer though, but I have yet to try one. I'll get to it eventually.
Rockwell 6S in all three spots.
Somewhat curious about this..... especially since you said you like mild razors. That's where I'm at too.The Lupo is the biggest surprise I've found in shaving this year.
I found it to be too aggressive, even on the mild setting. The Parker Variant is the first DE razor I've purchased and I absolutely love it. For the money, it's just a good solid razor that can be mild or aggressive, hence the variable setting abilities. I've found that I like the ability to shift the aggressiveness down when shaving problem areas. With a feather blade in it, I've not had a better shave except from a SR.
Another shave with the Lupo last evening. It really is smooth. Not Rockwell 6 smooth, but it also beats my 6s in efficiency.Somewhat curious about this..... especially since you said you like mild razors. That's where I'm at too.
Have you tried the Gillette slim? That's a Mild but efficient razor, imo. Even on a higher setting it felt quite mild.I found it to be too aggressive, even on the mild setting.

I love my Fatboy, but I've never cared for the Slim. I don't get smooth shaves from it, for some reason. Never figured out why there's a difference.Have you tried the Gillette slim? That's a Mild but efficient razor, imo. Even on a higher setting it felt quite mild.
Same here on the Slim, that's why I let it go.I love my Fatboy, but I've never cared for the Slim. I don't get smooth shaves from it, for some reason. Never figured out why there's a difference.

Very close, but the Slim’s has a slightly thinner profile.Weird, because they seem to have the exact some head.

Also, it's my understanding (don't own one) the fat handle is heavier.Very close, but the Slim’s has a slightly thinner profile.
The Fat Boy is heavier, I think you’re correct. Also, it's my understanding (don't own one) the fat handle is heavier.

A little irritation, but mainly it was just an unfomfortable shave.Did it cut you or just give you irritation?
The Rockwell 6S is just plain heavy. That said, the weight is a good part of the reason this razor shaves so well.Quite a few Rockwell 6s fans here....
Im not a fan of heavy razors though
