Came across this Razor on pre-registration for a dollar. Was intrigued and would love to know everyone's thoughts on this. I've included
a few pics.

Doesnt look sturdy. Looks like a telescopic magnet for dropped bolts. Kind of odd the dollar gets you a discount off an unlisted price. JMHO

I'd be interested in trying it. What's odd is it looks like the width of the head could accommodate a full blade.

There wouldn't be room as the head is held on by the magnets in the back. (Put your hardhat on and you'd see that.:p )
That is a big reason I don't think I'd be interested. From the wave in the blade it doesn't look to me like it is going to hold that half blade securely.

Dude. Yes, I see it’s not engineered to take one. Just saying it’s big enough they COULD have. Welcome back ya thug!

Anything using a half DE blade is a no go for me. It looks fancy and new fangled to me but if the design calls for a single edge I prefer a more ridged blade. For example, feather makes a blade that fits in most of the vintage autostrop razors that would work well with a head that size and shape and is a bit more ridged than a half de blade.

Just checking. I know you like to just go "oohh, shiny" sometimes. :p
And I'm here a bit, just haven't been posting a lot. I still see the trouble you cause.

Thanks for your views lads. My concern too was how secure would a Tool like this be? So many new designs and concepts coming out nowadays though and to think that once, Gillette ruled the world.

Just had my 5th shave with the S1 and second with the half Durablade 7a.m. Platinum. The first shave with this combo was quite good and very comfortable that was close to the initial shave with the Perma-Sharp pairing. Today’s shave was good but, not as good as the subsequent shave on the prior pairing. Not uncomfortable or less efficient but, the Durablade just didnt feel quite as smooth as the Perma-Sharp. Still, a very satisfying shave that produced a BBS finish with just two of the tiniest weepers at the corners of the stache. Some might not believe what I’m about to say and I’ll understand the skepticism or non believing shave pundits but, I have thoroughly enjoyed every single shave so far with the TiGlide S1 razor and I might dare say it has proven to be an excellent SE razor comparable with some of the better one’s out there, regardless of format. Yes, it’s odd looking and looks and feels more of a cartridge type razor in hand but, it obliterates any standard cartridge type razor with SE type performance say crossing the Blackland Vector in performance results with the Alpha Sprint smoothness & ease of use. In my experience, that’s what the S1 feels like so far. I’m going to continue with the S1 as I have 2 more half blade packs coming my way and would like to get a few more shaves in with those as well before giving a complete report on this razor. If all goes well, there will be very little to nitpick about concerning the TiGlide S1 in its overall performance.

@GlazedBoker how close is that soap to Strop Shoppe Russian Tea?

Wish I had an answer for you amigo but, I’ve never tried the Strop Shoppe Russian Tea version. I can tell you that this has an alluring and captivating aromatic & herbal aroma with the Ethos citrus touch at the top. Has a bit of sweetness but, not overly done almost honey like as it adds a naturalness plus has depth and some oomph to the scent. Very pleasing & tranquil type of aroma. Great for cooler mornings and when the weather wants to bite at the nose & fingertips.
