Happy Monday Morning everyone. Despite the snow yesterday the roads are clear this morning and even Atlanta drivers can navigate safely. Or at least as safely as we normally drive. Pulled out the AOS Bourbon shave cream. I think I will use it at least twice a week for the next several weeks. I want to put a dent in the cream. While I like AOS shave creams the scent on this one is just Meh at best. Ssssh, it's a gift from the wife so I absolutely love it. Three passes and touch ups ended in a wonderfully smooth near perfect shave. I just didn't do my part in catching the baby. I hope everyone has a fantastic day. Take care and be safe.

I had AOS Bourbon for a while but I just couldn’t get with it. Too synthetic smelling to me; definitely not one of their best scents.

Thank you Chris. I hope you had a good day as well. I agree the Bourbon is not their best scent by far. I have really enjoyed several of their shave creams. My favorite scents thus far have been Sandalwood and Peppermint. I will try the bourbon a couple more times and I can always pass it along to someone that will use it.

Happy Tuesday. Another excellent shave to start the day. The hardware and software worked well together delivering a drama free near perfect shave. I can't really ask for much better. Off to my office today. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

Avg yearly highs between 55 and 90 seems about perfect. You looking for some desert heat or something?

Happy Hump Day everyone. I decided to break out a new soap this morning. I had bought the Asylum Levante back in early December but wanted to finish up a couple of soaps before starting anything new. I found the soap to be easy to load and lather. I took my time adding water slowly and was rewarded with a fantastic lather. The scent is a pleasantly herbal citrus blend. It reminds me of the LEA Classic soap in scent and performance. A fantastic near perfect 3 pass shave was just the ticket to start the day. I hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday.

I apologize for not updating the journal lately. I had Covid over the New Year's weekend and week. I was very fortunate that the symptoms were very minor. However, the recovery for me has been a bit rough. I have a lingering shortness of breath. We any exertion at all, I am left gasping for breath. Walking from the parking deck into the office leaves me wiped out for 15-20 minutes. The doctor ran some test including blood work, chest x-ray and ekg. All the results looked pretty good. He wants me to take a stress test to rule out heart issues before concluding this is left over from Covid. All I know is I am ready for this stuff to be over. Enough of this venting onto some fun stuff.

I have been shaving and posting in the SOTD daily. I continued to use a variety of razors and brushes. I have been using the AOS Bourbon shave cream at least twice a week. At best this stuff is just a meh for me. However, it was a gift from the wife so I will push through. I did tell her not to repurchase that scent. On a lark I ordered the Asylum Rx V2 when it dropped on the 1st. Given some of the pictures out there, I was fortunate to have a perfectly finished razor. Today was my second shave with the Rx. I did a much better job finding and holding the correct angle. I did manage to get a couple of weepers. Overall a fantastic shave. The Proraso Red aftershave is first time purchase. I love the scent and positive comments from the wife make it a winner. I hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday. Take care everyone.
