Yup, I have Stirling Fever. Yup, it’s a thing! Today Stirling Tuscany came up in rotation. Love the scent of this soap quite a lot. Grabbed the Simpson 59 to lather her up.

I enjoyed my Brit A’crat shave earlier in the week so I decided to reach for the Rocket HD 500 today. Nice and weighty and a great shaver. Not quite as mild as my A’crats but certainly not a Red Tip. Loaded up with a fresh Gillette Nacet.

Three pass, smooth as alabaster shave! Matching AS and a squirt of Habit Rough EDP to add to the glory! Enjoy the shaves and stay safe!

@Graybeard57 this one came cased and in really minty shape. I am glad I have it and it is a joy to use. We have to keeps these guys around!

I agree. Old razors are a treasure.
I came late to the vintage razor game and my "ground zero" vintage Gillette was (and is) a NOS 1953 Y4 Canadian Tech - Fat Handle in the box with the blue blades still sealed! I got that off the Bay for a whopping $6.00! Still have it and can't bring myself to use it! I got bit by the bug hard Bruce!...LOL.

Happy Saturday all! Today’s shave I wanted to be a little special because you really have to enjoy what you have while you have it because tomorrow we really don’t know what’s coming. Gillette Delta Echo Slim - Cubano Edition is a thing of beauty and a fitting update to a vintage 1964 razor. I also have a stock 64 which is just as good a shaver but this guy is really Guapo! Thanks @Dave in KY.

Decided to crack open a new pack of Super Blue Blades today. I am lucky to have three of these NOS packs still wrapped so I figured I would try them out. Well wouldn’t you know the razor is a J3 and the blades a J4! Now that is pretty awesome fortune in my book!

Soap of the the day was the mighty Tabac with the matching splash. There are those who love it and those who don’t, I live in the first camp. Great soap and scent for me.

Three pass BBS shave achieved. Now there was a little more work involved but the blades being almost 56 years old held up admirably. They aren’t Kai sharp but they held their own and really it was just cool from a vintage perspective to use them! Added a squirt of Guerlain Oud Essentiel and wow! Pretty wonderful Saturday shave indeed.

Stay safe and enjoy your shaves.

Well why not some more citrus? Stirling Satsuma is a lovely blend of Mandarin orange and oriental spice. If you have ever had occasion to enjoy Satsuma fragrance oil in a scent heater at home this smells exactly like its namesake.

Today’s razor the Gillette New SC with a long, thin handle and refinished in 24k by BackRoadsGold. As OC go this one is very smooth and just a joy to use. Balanced quite nicely on this handle coming out slightly head heavy so it just glides down the face.

No need to chase BBS today and a lovely two pass DFS shave achieved. Top it all off with some Acqua di Parma Colonia. Another workweek...please stay safe and enjoy some sun on your face (through the window). God bless.
