The 5th Annual Williams Mug Soap 3017 Challenge!

21 I got curious and cut my puck in the mug to see my progress. It appears I’m down to about 1/8”. I reasoned I could us3 more product if I put things back in my lathering bowl and pressed it into that. Next I’ll probably break out the big guns out and press it into the captains choice bowl next. In copper it was a chore to chase my 2 halves all over, but managed to load and lather pretty well. At 25 shaves, I can detect perhaps a bit of wear in my blade, but that could also be preparation.

22 So I got this idea that mashing what’s left of my puck into the captains choice bowl would be a good idea.

Well, it was after a fashion. What I failed to think was the puck was dry-ish and was cut to pieces on the generous grooves in the bottom of the bowl. I was able to mask things back into one mass, but I fear I may have hastened the end of this puck. (Insert appropriate emoji here)
The shave was pretty good with the platinum at shave 26. I’m still detecting some degradation, but it hasn’t dropped enough that additional hot towels don’t prep my whiskers for a comfortable shave. I’m shooting for 30 with this blade. I will keep it and bring it back to increment it to unusability.
