Good morning Cadre! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Fantastic end-of-the-workweek shave this morning. My bottle of Platinum Égoïste after shave arrived and I of course had to use it today. Great ASL! Thicker consistency a-la Saponificio Varesino ASL and very soothing. Anyone know of an homage shave soap for this frag? Went back to Talent Soap Factory's "Daddy Longlegs" shave soap for a very slick and thick lather. Three passes and I finished with the aforementioned ASL and matching EdT.

This soap is like my Triple Milled I Forgot the Name Soap except the scent is different and a little stronger so I'm pretty certain the I Forgot the Name Soap is a TOBS soap.
I seem to have a pretty noticeable difference in this blade now so I plan on retiring it. It's dubbed as Mild so I think 11 shaves is a good run for it.

This was my first use of the shaving cream, and I was just a little disappointed. It had quite good cushion, glide, and post-shave skin feel (all 8/10), but to my old nose its scent was weak and bland. The aroma is advertised as having notes of bergamot, grapefruit, coffee, and leather, but I got none of them except a touch of the grapefruit. And its tobacco fragrance is the straight leaf, which I don't like quite as much as a mixture with the flower absolute provides.

Nice enough soap for the scent and lather qualities....whip up by the excellent brush...
