You asked for it - and I have listened…….a boozy shave. I love the smell of Mint Julep and both the soap and the cologne. Now the soap base I find - is one of two that I have that I actually have a challenge with - but that’s why I used a pre-shave. It is challenging to lather - the other soap was of the bases for Prohibition Style - and with both soaps - I think they do a great job with the scents - but in both cases they need some help in getting the base to lather correctly.

The soap is straight up mint julep mmmm. The Ethos - one of the best skin foods out there - it is not a boozy - but it has an excellent mint and acts as a perfect in between for the soap and cologne. The cologne is a fantastic mint julep and has a tangerine note— bam! Stuck the landing!

A very nice soap for me!! The lather was perfectly rich, creamy, and very slick together with a sweet invigorating scent & cooling sensation...
Today's pairing with the razor and blade was just an easy, swift, smooth, and very comfortable shave session. 3passes without any issues for a dfs+ finish. The aftershaves were perfect for an oven-hot day...

Good morning Cadre! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Wonderful shave this morning. One good thing about skipping a day is that you know the next shave is going to be extra nice! Today we're going to the beach and I'm also borrowing a page from @Scuttlesoap and bringing some boozy items into play. Went with Phoenix Shaving's "The Beach" shave soap. Surprisingly, it really does capture a beach vibe! Hard to describe. The scents are blended well and together work their magic. Of course you need some adult refreshment while at the beach so after three passes I finished with Clubman's "Tequila Tease" and then moved to the islands with a rum, lime and coconut infused spray of Creed's "Virgin Island Water". 🏝️🥥🍹🦜

The lather was a bit thin, and I would prefer that it had less 'perfume' scent and more tobacco aroma. But the Diamondback and blade were quite smooth, and the aftershave finished things up nicely.
