Wednesday morning:

I don’t know why I even bothered shaving this morning because I have a lousy cold.

Well here it is.

Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
Super Speed/7 O’Clock day 10
Simply Bee SS
Nivea Cool Kick ASB

This Simply Bee is a fantastic soap from South Africa - it’s been sitting around here for a long time so I decided to go with it this morning. I can’t smell a damn thing right now but its scent is a light honey type which is pleasant, it’s glycerine based, it gives AWESOME lather with plenty of slickness, and it’s so gentle on sensitive skin. The Cool Kick balm added plenty of cool soothing - normally I don’t care for the scent but the performance is excellent. Three passes did the job for me - another perfect BBS shave. Now, let’s see if I get some more sleep!

See you all tomorrow - have a nice day!

Williams Wednesday's Cold Water Shave

Cold Water Rinse
Williams Mug Shave Soap
Jayaruh #476
Gillette Fat Handle Tech
Gillette Silver Blue
Cold Water Rinse
Humphrey's Witch Hazel
Speick After Shave

The Williams Mug Shave Soap face-lathered well with Jayaruh #476 Synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Fat Handle Tech razor and the Gillette Silver Blue Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Nivea After Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

A simply incredible shave this morning! Returned to ETHOS Grooming Essentials and Frank's excellent "Vanilla Safi" shave soap. A warm, true-vanilla scent that isn't too sweet and allows all the nuances to shine through. Phenomenal lather as well, built with the WWBW synth for three passes with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed by Thayers unscented witch hazel, Nivea "Vanilla & Bourbon" aftershave lotion & Viktor & Rolf "SpiceBomb" EdT.

BBS bliss!!

Hope you have a great day. :)

I really like this soap and splash. Been using it for years. Is it a perfect match for Shulton? No. It isn't the Spice bomb that Shulton is/was (depending on if one still has a bottle or two, which I do). The drawback with Shulton, is that you get the "grandpa scent" comments because of it's reliance on the Spice side of the scent. Don toned it down, but it's still the predominiant scent. Unlike modern Old Spice which all but has eliminated the Spice component from the fragrance. My only qualm is that Don doesn't make EDP's. I'd love some EDP's to go with a few of his soaps (Athos, this, Mr Warlock and perhaps Unforgettable)
