Temps dropped about 35 degrees last night, so I had to dip back into my winter soaps. What better opportunity that to use my FAVORITE winter scent, Black Watch.
Man I love this stuff. Just awaiting the HoM reboot, so I can pick up some EDP. (My doggo excitedly wagged his tail and knocked over and broke my EDP, so I've been jonesing for a replacement or two.

Wow! Don Youngner was just using a vintage tub of BWW on his Saturday video. What a coincidence. I never bought Beaver Wood wright, but have a few Blackship Grooming tubs, I should revisit those.

This Kameelperd soap (kameelperd is Afrikaans for giraffe) has a lulu of a menthol sensation - it’s easily a match for the Glacial soaps, although it’s glycerine based it’s so easy to lather, it’s super slick, and the postshave care is excellent. I also love its coffee/peppermint scent. The Stoffel balm smells straight up peppermint, and it’s frigidly cold as well as very soothing. The Northern Elixir aftershave has a nice peppermint/eucalyptus scent, and it’s another menthol monster. Finally the Hugo Boss fragrance sample which I can take or leave (I’d just as soon leave it) and that’s it for today. The new Perma Sharp blade helped ensure a perfect three pass BBS shave that was lots of fun!

One of my favorite Artisan's in my den. I have 22 soaps from BWW/BSG in my den and love them. Super easy to lather, slick as a whistle, or at least for me and the aroma strength is just perfect for my nose.

A shave is so much fun when you use something that you love and I absolutely LOVE this B&M Spice soap. It’s hard to believe that it pushed ahead of the MSC Vintage Spice in terms of the Shulton Old Spice but it really did. Will definitely nailed it with this one - it gave unbelievably thick, rich, super slick along with its gorgeous scent, and it left my skin feeling so relaxed as well as soothed. The Lubriderm is unscented so I continued enjoying the scent of the soap, and finally the Stirling Spice eau de toilette is another dead on copy of the Shulton Old Spice - it’s impossible for me not to love it. Three slow most enjoyable passes gave me a heavenly BBS shave - it was such a pleasure!

Maybe you should’ve added a bit more water when you were lathering up? That probably would’ve brought out the slickness from the soap - it’s true that Stirling is extremely slick!

The Tabac Shave Cream face-lathered well with Jayaruh #438 Synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Fatip Grande razor and the PolSilver Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Tabac After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Hello everyone! Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Another phenomenal shave this morning! Returned to Martin de Candre and their excellent "Fougère" shave soap. Great scent with a wonderfully thick and cushioning lather built with the Rich Yuengel synth for three passes with the Karve and I finished with alum, followed by Castle Forbes "1445" aftershave balm and EdP. #BarberDaveShave excellence!! :cool:
