Today was my first use of a new razor, the SCS-Model A by SimpleCleanShave. It is a three-piece aluminum razor with a heavy-duty anodized coating and stainless blade posts and head screw. It's a really interesting razor from a small manufacturer with an extensive background in machining parts with high tolerances. I decided to try it more or less on a whim and I'm glad I did. I had an excellent, efficient yet mild shave.

What can I say about Stirling that hasn't already been said? It whipped up into an excellent lather with the Jayaruh boar brush. I sealed the deal with some aftershave splash and a little balm. I had a tiny bit of irritation which is a little surprising because I pushed for a total BBS via an extensive pickup pass. I would have had a good bit of irritation from a less forgiving razor.

I ended up with a smooth, BBS result. 9.8/10. Happy shaves all!

Wow...this soap is just awesome! The creamy and very slick lather...but the best is the scent...whoaaa...hahaha!
This shave with the razor was excellent! The edge was refreshed on balsa & buffalo strop. Smooth, comfortable, keen, and singing...3passes for a mixed bbs/dfs/ccs finish with any issues. The aftershaves were terrific...somehow matching the soap!

Good morning Cadre. Hope you had a pleasant evening.

Great shave this morning. Went with Fine's "American Blend" in the new formula. Very nice lather. Great slip but not as much cushion as I like. Three passes for a DFS+ result and I finished with the matching splash and a spray of YSL "Rive Gauche Pour Homme".

A wonderfully aromatic cigarish scented soap! Today's lather was creamy and slick enough...very enjoyable!
Today's shave with this excellent antique razor was good enough in 3passes for a dfs/ccs result. I like the hefty and solid feel with a smooth and comfortable edge. The aftershaves were just as good.
