Proline blade is definitely sharper out of the box than the Feather ProGuard. No tugging, but more alum stinging afterward. Nice 2 pass DFS. I really, really like this King R. Emporium aftershave lately, I find myself even splashing a little on my chest to get a subtle bay rum scent throughout the day.

I was wondering about this soap and AS - I just bought a set because I love homages to the “good ol’ days” but wasn’t sure what it really smelled like from the notes. Nice shave!

Yeah the story is cool, recreating the scent of the old Gillette shave sticks. The scent notes listed are: almond, lemon, bergamot, cool mint, lavender, green accord, sandalwood, cedar wood, amber, musk & West Indian Bay.

What I actually smell is some sweet almond up front, then a muddled middle notes, with a great long lasting Bay Rum (without any spice/clove) for the base notes. Perhaps those with more sensitive sniffers can give a better description.

Just a beautiful lather from this soap...thickly creamy and slick. The soap and aftershave scent kinda matched and is really light...This razor's edge feels really smooth and crisp...very easy to maneuver and a pleasure to shave with. 2.5passes for a ccs-sas finish...
